Retail investors in Europe can now directly access the Jacobi Bitcoin ETF following a regulatory shift that lifts previous restrictions. This move comes as BTC targets new price highs and market analysts forecast substantial gains across the digital asset landscape.
Jacobi Expands Bitcoin ETF Access to European Retail Investors
Jacobi Asset Management has announced removing professional-only access and minimum investment requirements on its Bitcoin ETF. This decision, supported by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC), marks a new phase in the fund’s accessibility.
The Jacobi Bitcoin ETF was launched in 2023 on Euronext Amsterdam. It is Europe’s first regulated Bitcoin ETF, accessible to retail and institutional investors.
Peter Lane, the CEO of Jacobi Asset Management, said that this regulatory change was “significant for both Jacobi and Guernsey.” Martinez stated that the fund was initially designed to meet institutional standards. He emphasized that it provides a reliable way to purchase Bitcoin.
As regulations evolve and public interest grows, they are set to offer our services to all eligible investors. Their goal is to ensure they can fully benefit from the opportunities available.
The founder and chief executive of Zodia Custody confirmed that client assets will be stored securely. Julian Sawyer stressed that their job continues to be safeguarding client money while not skipping on security or compliance.
Regulatory Evolution Meets Investor Demand
Rules put in place by Guernsey are considered progress toward Europe’s broader digital asset investment ecosystem. Rupert Pleasant, CEO of Guernsey Finance, stated that the country is now ready to support regulated digital assets.
He emphasized that this change strengthens their financial ecosystem. Retail investors across various European countries can now access the ETF through regulated brokerage services.
Their ability to invest depends on the specific regulations of their country. The larger public now has access to the Bitcoin products Jacobi wishes to make secure and easy to understand.
The ETF is constructed like an institutional product, since strict standards and supervision secure it. As a result, Jacobi’s product gives retail users a controlled way to be involved in Bitcoin without dealing with wallets.
Bitcoin Technical Setup Suggests Further Price Growth
As more Europeans can participate in Bitcoin, market analysts say there is a bullish trend to watch in BTC’s movement. According to Washigorira, Bitcoin recently broke out of a right-angled descending broadening wedge. It is commonly seen as a sign of further upward movement.

BTC broke out at $106,000, and prices have returned to try to break out again from this level. According to the chart, the target is about $135,000 if the price holds above this point.
The analyst observed that the structure of the current cycle resembles what happened during earlier periods of expansion.
On-Chain Metrics and Altcoin Trends Point to Bullish Market Cycle
On-chain data further supports the bullish narrative. According to Realized Cap Impulse metrics, Bitcoin demand remains strong, and the market sits above its key support zone.
Analysts expect the current upward trend in the realized cap to continue until at least October, indicating sustained buying interest.
Market analyst gmulun adds that Bitcoin may touch $200,000 during this cycle, and altcoins might return gains as much as 150x. The pattern he has identified resembles times when the total value of altcoins increased rapidly during bull markets.

In 2017, the altcoin market increased by an impressive +4,850%, then grew another +6,440% in 2021. The altcoin market cap could rise by +8,570% to more than $1.5 trillion by 2025. New retail access to regulated Bitcoin may start a major crypto price surge.
