Binance has revealed its current asset composition and the direction of investor capital migration in its 33rd Proof of Reserves report. The report showed users’ Ethereum (ETH) holdings decreased by over 9%. This decline suggests long-term accumulation from institutional investors.
Binance Ethereum Reserve Outlook
In its latest proof-of-reserves report as of August 1, Binance posted 4,555,014 ETH. This figure represents a 9.84% decrease from the 5,051,997 ETH holdings posted in July.
In contrast to the ETH exodus, BTC holdings on Binance increased by 2.99% from 573,997 BTC to 591,164 BTC. Similarly, Tether (USDT) holdings increased to 29.85 billion USDT, up 0.87%.
Note that the decline of 496,984 ETH points to ongoing withdrawals. Such crypto withdrawals from exchanges are usually connected to profit-taking.

However, the move coincides with an increased ETH accumulation among corporations.
Since gaining popularity in June, Ethereum treasury companies appear to be matching their exchange-traded fund (ETF) counterparts.
Notably, Bitmine Immersion Technologies and SharpLink Gaming have continued to increase their ETH reserve.
SharpLink Gaming recently added 24,371 ETH, valued at about $73 million via the Coinbase Prime platform
On May 30, SharpLink announced it would raise up to $1 billion in a private investment in public equity (PIPE) round.
The firm plans to use most of the proceeds to purchase Ethereum. The announcement briefly sent SharpLink stock (SBET) skyrocketing to $124, up from $6 on May 23.

So far, Bitmine and SharpLink reported holdings of over 833,100 and 521,900 ETH, respectively.
Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs saw inflows again on Wednesday, which amounted to $35.1 million, according to Farside Investors data.
Ethereum Daily and Weekly Transaction Count
Meanwhile, Ethereum has performed amazingly in terms of weekly transaction count. Ethereum’s weekly transaction count hit an all-time high (ATH) of 11.9 million earlier today.
This milestone comes after ETH daily transaction count hit 1.92 million on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. This is the highest level seen in 1.5 years.
Analysts believe this massive transaction activity is a solid boost for ETH. They also think it contributed to the ongoing rally in the Ethereum price as of the time of writing.
The increased institutional accumulation largely triggered the ETH transaction volume. The rise of Layer 2 solutions like Arbitrum, Optimism, and zkSync also played a key role.
Transaction volumes on these networks have grown immensely, with TVL in L2 ecosystems hitting new highs. This trend has reduced mainnet congestion and gas fees, increasing Ethereum utility.
The recent Ethereum surge in the NFT marketplace also played a key role in increasing market activity. The Ethereum chain led a recent surge in the NFT marketplace with a $74.97 million trade volume.
The ETH Price Outlook
Ethereum entered 2025, valued at around $3,451.39, and registered an uptrend. However, the rally only lasted until about January 5, when it peaked at $3,634 before falling again.
Since then, ETH continued to experience volatility, with the price dropping to $3,596 on August 6.
However, ETH price is currently showing signs of a rebound. According to MarketCap data, ETH was trading at $3,829, up 5.9% over the past 24 hours.
Within this period, the trading volume increased moderately by 9.3% to $31.9 billion. This surge implies investors are willing to accumulate the asset.
Technical analysis showed ETH saw a strong breakout from previous triangles and consolidation zones. As a result, ETH price is consolidating just below the psychological $4000 level.
The daily chart reveals a persistent pattern of breakout-pause-breakout, indicating a strong trend in motion. Hence, a push above $4,000 seems possible as long as ETH retains support above $3,600.
