In the last 24 hours, the Pi Coin value has seen a vertical drop after losing $0.35 support and dropping to $0.27. The Pi cryptocurrency has faced continuous selling pressure, and experts predict more downside. Mr. Spock, a popular Pi community member, slammed the Pi Network GVC community for their unreasonable demands regarding price value.
Pi Coin will Crash Further After Protocol v23 Roll Out
After consolidating around $0.35 for nearly a month, the Pi coin value has dropped sharply to $0.25 amid a massive sell-off. Crypto commentator Mr. Spock has warned of a potential sharp decline in Pi following the rollout of Protocol v23.
He slammed the GVC community for holding on to the expectations that Pi could reach $314,159. Pi Coin’s GCV (Global Consensus Value) represents a community-driven symbolic price target of $314,159 per Pi. The mathematical constant π inspires this. It is not an official valuation issued by the Pi Network Core Team.
However, Mr. Spock believes the real Pi coin value is what the market determines, i.e. $0.27. This is in stark contrast to the GVC value. Thus, he noted that once the Protocol v23 rolls out on the Pi Network mainnet, the GVC community will be exposed to the reality, finding out that the Pi coins they hold are not worth $314,159 but the market value.
Why Is Pi Core Team Keeping Silent on Pi Coin Value?
Furthermore, he also criticized the Pi Core for staying silent on what’s the real value of Pi token. In a message on the X platform, Mr. Spock noted:

“The Pi Core Team is already wealthy, while nobody in the Pi Network community has actually become rich from Pi. That’s why you’ll never hear the Core Team complain about the price of Pi. They’ve secured their position, but the community is left hoping for value far from being reached”.
Crypto analyst Mr. Spock has raised concerns about the Pi Network, citing a lack of community confidence in Pi’s exchange value as a major risk factor. According to Spock, most Pi community is not actively buying the token. Thus, he believes it could lead to a significant price decline, potentially even to zero.
Will Pi Network Token Recover From Sell-Off?
The Pi Network token faced a sharp selloff this week, losing nearly 50% of its value within hours. Analysts attribute the decline to structural weaknesses, leveraged trading liquidations, and eroding community confidence.
According to Pi Network Update, the downturn was sparked by leveraged futures liquidations, triggering a cascade of forced sales. The initial selling reportedly involved only a few thousand PI coins on a smaller exchange. However, thin liquidity further pushed the token into a steep freefall.

Crypto analyst Dr. Altcoin urged investors not to panic amid the recent crypto market downturn, which has hit Pi Network particularly hard. He explained that Pi’s low liquidity makes it more vulnerable to sharp price swings, as even modest movements can trigger cascading liquidations of long positions, amplifying losses.
However, the analyst noted that Pi is expected to recover gradually as market conditions stabilize and liquidity improves, emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus on the project’s long-term vision
