Bitcoin BTC Faces $101K Test as Binance Dump, Whale Losses Stir Fear

Bitcoin traded near $ 107,000 as rumors of a Binance sell-off, whale losses, and Fed uncertainty fueled bearish sentiment. Traders watched the $101K support zone for a potential aggressive bounce.

Bitcoin BTC Drops Toward Key Fibonacci Zone Ahead of Fed Remarks

Bitcoin (BTC) traded near $107,400 on November 3 as traders warned of another leg down toward $101,000 amid reports of large sell orders from Binance and mounting losses from whales. The move followed a volatile weekend during which bulls lost control of the $110,000 level.

Crypto Tony told followers that $106,400 was the “next level to keep an eye on,” adding that traders should avoid “scalping longs with no confluence at all.” The comment reflected growing caution across social media as market sentiment turned defensive ahead of the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy remarks.

Binance Activity Triggers Manipulation Claims

Market chatter intensified after 0xNobler claimed on X that Binance was “non-stop dumping BTC and ETH ahead of the Fed speech today,” allegedly “selling millions every few minutes to liquidate longs.” The exchange has not responded publicly to those claims.

The speculation reignited old debates about centralized exchanges influencing short-term price moves. Traders cited recent order book data showing heavy spot selling pressure on major pairs. “It’s the same pre-event liquidity flush we’ve seen before,” one trader wrote, referencing prior volatility during Fed-related announcements.

Despite the claims, no on-chain evidence has yet confirmed large-scale coordinated selling. Still, the narrative was enough to heighten caution among leveraged traders.

Whale Losses Compound Market Unease

Adding to the pressure, Whale Insider reported that a high-profile trader, known as 0xc2a3, was sitting on $21.7 million in unrealized losses across long positions in BTC, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Hyperliquid (HYPE). The account’s total profit and loss reportedly fell from $33 million in gains to a $5.8 million deficit, signaling the largest drawdown in months.

The update highlighted the risks associated with aggressive leverage during range-bound conditions. Traders noted that recent rallies failed to sustain above resistance zones, trapping late buyers. “This is exactly what happens when liquidity runs dry before confirmation,” one analyst wrote in reply to Whale Insider’s post.

Range-bound Market Raises Caution Among Traders

CrypNuevo, who tracks BTC’s higher-timeframe structure, warned that the current setup “looks like one of the most difficult trading weeks of Q4.” He suggested that Bitcoin may retest its range lows near $101,000, which also coincide with the weekly 50 Exponential Moving Average (EMA) — a level often described as bull market support.

He explained that the “wick has already been filled 50%,” adding that the lack of a sharp bounce increased the chance of a full retest. However, he expected a “very aggressive bounce” once that zone is tested, citing strong confluence between technical support and long-term demand.

CrypNuevo also stated that while a range breakdown remains possible, the eventual breakout “will likely be to the upside” due to liquidity imbalance above current range highs.

Bitcoin BTC Technical Indicators Align with Tightening Volatility

The 4-hour chart showed Bitcoin consolidating between $106,000 and $111,000, with Fibonacci retracement levels clustering around $107,300 (0.786) and $106,300 (1.0) — key levels for short-term reactions. The 1.618 extension at $103,300 marks the next major downside target if selling accelerates.

The Stochastic RSI hovered near 17, suggesting that Bitcoin was entering oversold territory on lower timeframes. Historically, such levels have preceded short-lived relief rallies.

Meanwhile, Super฿ro noted on X that the weekly Bollinger Bands were showing the “tightest squeeze in history,” a signal often preceding explosive moves. “Prior squeezes led to a head-fake lower and then a rip higher,” he added, implying that volatility expansion could come soon.

Traders Brace for Volatility as Fed Looms

The combination of whale losses, alleged exchange selling, and macro uncertainty has pushed traders into a wait-and-see mode. Many expect volatility to spike once the Federal Reserve delivers its next policy statement.

CrypNuevo’s observation of range-bound conditions captured the broader mood. “This could be one of those frustrating chop weeks,” a trader commented, noting that both long and short positions risk liquidation as BTC oscillates near key levels.

For now, market participants appear to agree on one point: the $101,000–$106,000 zone remains the area of interest. A breakdown could extend losses to around $98,400, while a strong rebound would help keep the broader bull trend intact.
