Solana (SOL) is trading around $128, and its ecosystem is experiencing an influx of activity following the introduction of the SKR token. Solana Mobile, the project’s hardware initiative, has just made SKR distribution live for Seeker smartphone users and developers.
Interestingly, the move has sparked significant attention not only to the SKR price but also to Solana’s overall network activity. Traders are closely watching the effects of these developments on the token’s performance as SOL tests a key multi-year support level.
SKR Token Launch Attracts Community Participation
Solana Mobile introduced SKR token on January 21, which allowed more than 100,000 Seeker users and developers to get their airdropped tokens. The initial allocation of approximately 2 billion SKR, equal to 20% of the total supply, is part of a larger strategy to allocate 30% of the tokens via airdrops and incentives.
SKR has several applications in the Solana Mobile ecosystem. It enables users to engage in staking, governance, and the curation of decentralized applications. Users can stake SKR to receive rewards, with early returns of around 28% reported. Staking can take place on the Seed Vault Wallet and on the web platform.
The ecosystem also proposes SKR Guardians, whose task is to secure devices and assist with staking pools. Users will have 90 days to redeem their tokens, and a small amount of SOL will be needed as transaction fees. Unstaking can occur at any time, though there is a 48-hour cooldown.
SKR Token has a Good Market Debut
After the launch, SKR token attracted instant attention on various trading platforms. It can now be found on big exchanges such as Kraken, Bybit, Gate, MEXC and Jupiter. The SKR shot up more than 50% within hours, trading at the current price of $0.01265.

The trading volume increased by over 8000% in 24 hours, indicating high demand. The token’s 24-hour price range was $0.00537 to $0.0144. To further attract the community, Jupiter announced a $50,000 SKR prize pool tied to the token’s launch.
As an SPL token on the Solana blockchain, SKR offers low fees and high throughput. The rewards are determined after every 48 hours. SKR has attracted early adopters and active traders who can earn rewards instantly and exit positions with minimal delay.
Analyst Focus Turns to Solana Price Support Zone
SKR was launched when the trading volume within the Solana network had significantly increased. SOL, the platform’s native token, saw a 78% increase in volume in the first 24 hours after the release of SKR. SOL recovered by 2% and traded around $128.17, even after falling by 6% earlier in the day.
Because users must hold SOL to claim SKR, demand for the base token seems to be increasing. The adoption of mobile devices and the utility of tokens can further fuel user interaction within the network.
Analyst Ali charts noted that SOL price is currently at a major inflection point of $120. The analyst highlighted the importance of this level, which coincides with a long-term rising trendline that has held since early 2023. There have been several prior bounces at this support line.

SOL Price Faces Make-or-Break Moment
SOL is currently testing a significant long-term support zone. The $120 mark has served as a support in the past downturns and is structurally significant on the multi-year chart. Technical patterns and analyst commentary indicated that this region might define the next big move of Solana.
As long as buyers intervene, a bounce to the $135-$140 resistance zone may ensue. This action would be consistent with a possible rounded bottom trend observed over recent time.

However, failure to maintain this level can initiate a wider sell-off. A break of support may lead to downside targets at $100 and $70. Solana is trading around $125 at press time, with recent developments in the Solana ecosystem boosting investor sentiment.
