XRP price has continued to see downward movement over the past year, dropping 57% during this period. While Ripple’s crypto continues to flirt with $1.10, XRP ledger activity is also making new lows. It shows that traders are waiting for a real catalyst to push XRP higher.
XRP Price Dips As Ledger Activity Hits New Lows
Blockchain analytics platform Santiment reported that activity on the XRP Ledger has slowed significantly. Interestingly, this activity has remained low despite the XRP price trading at just $1.10 level.
According to Santiment, the network recorded only 25,350 active wallets, marking its second-lowest daily reading of 2026. New wallet creation also dropped to 2,130, the lowest level since November 2024. The analytics firm said the decline suggests traders are waiting for a stronger catalyst rather than buying into another short-term price rebound.

Despite the slowdown in on-chain activity, Santiment highlighted several potential growth drivers for the XRP ecosystem. These include the expansion of RLUSD, increased tokenized real-world asset (RWA) activity, broader institutional payment adoption, growth of the XRP Ledger EVM sidechain, and the rollout of lending products.
According to analysts, these factors could serve as catalysts, helping revive on-chain activity. Santiment also reported that if the market momentum improves, XRP price could make a quick surge to $1.50.
XRP Price Can See Some More Pain Before Next 1000% Rally
Despite Ripple making strong progress on a fundamental level, XRP has failed to catch up with its price action. The weakness suggests XRP could see further downside before resuming the uptrend.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel said XRP is repeating a long-term macro pattern that has previously preceded rallies of more than 1,000%. According to the analyst, XRP is currently trading within a high time frame accumulation zone between $0.70 and $1.10. Thus, the next two major support levels would be $1.0 and $0.70, respectively.

On the upside, Patel said that $3 would serve as an immediate resistance, while the MACD indicator approaches a bullish crossover. Crypto Patel added that if XRP continues to hold the current demand zone and successfully breaks above the $3 resistance, the token could enter another expansion phase. The analyst maintains his long-term target at $9 for now.
Another popular analyst, EGRAG Crypto, maintains a similar view, noting that Ripple remains in an accumulation zone for now. He noted that once the XRP price breaks past $3.5, it will enter the macro expansion phase. The analyst maintains a long-term target of $15 for XRP.
XRP ETF Flows Turn Numb
Spot XRP ETFs listed in the U.S. are on track for their weakest weekly performance since late March. According to market data, the five U.S. spot Ripple ETF products have recorded three consecutive trading days with no net flows this week. The funds also posted combined net outflows of approximately $7.29 million on July 8.
Despite the lack of fresh inflows, cumulative net inflows across the products totaled $1.48 billion, while total net assets were approximately $989.46 million. Among issuers, Bitwise Asset Management remained the market leader with $308.15 million in net assets under management.
