ZEC price moved higher as Grayscale continued its effort to convert the Grayscale Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded product.
Grayscale’s latest verified Form S-3 amendment proposed listing the trust on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH. The filing would transform the existing over-the-counter product into an exchange-listed vehicle tracking Zcash.
The regulatory process remains incomplete. Grayscale still faces registration and exchange-listing requirements before the proposed Zcash ETF can begin trading.
Grayscale Pushes Zcash ETF Filing Forward
Grayscale filed amendment No. 4 to its Form S-3 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The asset manager plans to convert the existing Grayscale Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded product that tracks ZEC. Grayscale also named NYSE Arca as the proposed listing venue and ZCSH as the planned ticker. Investors would trade the trust shares on the exchange rather than hold ZEC directly through the product.
The latest filing does not complete the listing process or guarantee SEC approval. Grayscale has not disclosed a management fee or a temporary fee waiver. The document gives investors more detail on share creation, redemption, and a potential contribution involving a Digital Currency Group affiliate. Regulatory review and exchange procedures still need to run their course before any proposed listing can move forward.
Filing Changes Focus on Share Redemptions
Grayscale plans to process creations and redemptions mainly through cash orders. The filing keeps an in-kind creation option, where an authorized participant can contribute ZEC rather than cash. Grayscale changed the redemption language, however, and now states that the trust will not permit in-kind redemptions under the proposed structure. That wording narrows redemptions while preserving flexibility for creations.
The sponsor also disclosed talks with DCG International Investments Ltd., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Digital Currency Group. Under the possible arrangement, the affiliate could acquire shares through an authorized participant in exchange for 200,000 ZEC.
The companies have not finalized the arrangement, and the filing describes the discussions as non-binding.
ZEC Price Rally Tests Higher Resistance
Analyst Javon sees $755.49 as the next major resistance for ZEC following its strong recovery from previous cycle lows. At the time of writing, Zcash trades at $554.91, up 8.83% over 24 hours. The latest advance clears the $520 and $550 resistance zones and keeps buyers in control of the short-term structure.
ZEC has already climbed more than 20 times from roughly $31.50 to above $662 during its broader recovery. The move also broke a multi-year descending resistance trend that had capped several rallies since 2018. Price has since experienced wide swings between roughly $200 and $700, but repeated rebounds have kept ZEC well above its former multi-year base.

Javon now targets a further 37% move toward $755.49. A sustained push through that resistance would open the next higher price range, with the analyst identifying $1,400 or above as the subsequent target.
In a recent ZEC price prediction, analyst Ardi said Zcash could extend its recovery if buyers maintained control after the earlier breakout. ZEC has since moved higher and now trades above $551, placing the market above the $530 level discussed earlier.
Ardi identified $600 as the next upside target if bullish momentum continues. He also warned that ZEC has previously formed “Type 2 distribution” patterns, making sustained buying pressure important for extending the current rally.
