Strategy, Strive, Coinbase Stocks Surge as Bitcoin Price Hits $85,000

Top Bitcoin treasury companies are firing on all cylinders today, helped by the ongoing crypto market rally. Strategy jumped by 6% in the premarket session, while Strive and Coinbase rose by 6.5% and 5.1%, respectively. Other top companies in the industry like Trump Media, MARA Holdings, and Riot Platforms are also soaring.

Bitcoin Price Rallies to $85,000 in Signs That Crypto Winter is Ending

BTC price made a strong bullish breakout, reaching its highest level since January. This rally was a continuation of a surge that started in July when it bottomed out at $58,145.

Bitcoin’s rally has coincided with the ongoing weakness in the stock market, where companies that drove gains have pulled back. This includes companies like Nvidia, Micron, SanDisk, and Western Digital.

As such, there is a likelihood that investors, especially in the United States, Japan, and South Korea, are starting to rotate from stocks to Bitcoin. A good example of this is in the ETF market, where inflows have jumped by $313 million this month after rising by $3.52 billion last month. In total, these funds have added close to $4 billion in the last three months.

Bitcoin’s rally is happening as some analysts predict that the crypto winter was ending. In a statement to CNBC, Matt Hogan, the CIO of Bitwise, said that the winter has ended. He predicts that the crypto industry will soon enter the longest bull market in its history.

The rally also happened even after the CLARITY Act failed in the Senate last week. Democrats rejected the bill, noting that the concessions made by Republicans were not going far enough.

Bitcoin Technicals Point to More Gains

Technical analysis also explains why Bitcoin is soaring. As the daily chart shows, the coin has slowly formed a cup-and-handle pattern, which is comprised of a rounded bottom and a pullback. In most cases, this pattern normally leads to a strong rally.

The coin also formed a bullish flag pattern, which happens when a strong surge is usually followed by a brief pullback. It normally resembles a hoisted flag.

Bitcoin also formed a golden cross pattern, which happens when the 50-day moving average crosses the 200-day one. Therefore, there is a likelihood that the coin will jump to $100,000 in the coming weeks as investors embrace FOMO.

Bitcoin Rally is Benefiting Crypto Companies

The ongoing crypto rally is benefiting companies in the industry. Bitcoin treasury companies like Strategy, Vivek Ramaswamy’s Strive, and Coinbase have become some of the top beneficiaries of the rally.

Strategy jumped by over 6% since the rising Bitcoin price has boosted the value of its holdings. It now holds 845,050 coins, currently valued at over $71.8 billion. When Bitcoin was at its lowest level in July, these coins were valued at less than $50 billion. This surge has also helped to stabilize the value of its preferred shares, like STRC and STRD.

Strive, which has become the fifth-largest Bitcoin holder, has also rebounded, with the value of its coins rising to $2.12 billion. Coinbase, which owns 17,311 coins in its balance sheet, has seen the value of its assets jump to $1.4 billion.

Other top companies with Bitcoin holdings, like MetaPlanet, Bullish, CleanSpark, and MARA Holdings, were also in the green today.

In addition to the rising value of its Bitcoin holdings, Coinbase and other crypto exchanges are benefiting as the crypto rally drives higher trading volume.
