Ethereum price is gaining momentum as analysts predict a surge to $17,000. On-chain data shows aggressive accumulation, fueling bullish sentiment.
Ethereum Price Poised for a Breakout?
Ethereum’s accumulation addresses recorded a massive daily inflow of $883 Million on February 7, marking the highest single-day surge ever.
This spike signals that large investors are betting on an explosive price move. Historical trends indicate that similar spikes in accumulation have often preceded sharp price increases.
In Feb. 2023, Ethereum price surged 35% just two months after a record 244,000 ETH were accumulated in a single day.

Long-term holders now control over $19.24 Million worth of ETH, a new record. This number has risen 20.55% in 2025, despite Ethereum price dropping 20.75% this year.

Crypto analyst Kiu_Coin highlights this trend in a recent chart, showing how Ethereum tends to experience “shakeouts” before explosive moves.
According to the analysis, previous shakeouts have led to price surges of over 1,300%. If this trend continues, Ethereum could be primed for another parabolic run.
The chart outlines a potential 732% rally, putting Ethereum’s price near $17,000 in the coming months.
Whales and institutional investors appear undeterred by short-term price fluctuations. Instead, they are positioning themselves for what they believe will be Ethereum’s next major rally.
This accumulation pattern resembles previous pre-bull run phases, suggesting that Ethereum price could be on the verge of an explosive uptrend.
Ethereum Fees Drop Below $1M—A Hidden Bullish Signal?
Ethereum’s daily transaction fees have fallen below $1 Million for the first time since Sept. 2024. While some may view this as a bearish development, it highlights a crucial shift.
Lower fees indicate reduced network congestion, making Ethereum more attractive for users and developers. The last time Ethereum fees dropped this low was in November 2020, just months before ETH embarked on a historic bull run, soaring to $4,800.

While some of this decline is attributed to Ethereum’s layer-2 networks taking traffic away from the main chain, the impact on ETH’s price could still be bullish.
Layer-2 solutions like Arbitrum and Optimism continue to grow, driving ETH adoption without increasing transaction costs.
The shift suggests that Ethereum remains a critical part of the crypto economy, even as competitors like Solana and Tron gain traction.

Moreover, Ethereum’s supply dynamics are another factor to watch. Once deflationary due to the Merge upgrade, the network has seen its supply rise steadily since April 2024.
While this could have long-term implications, the current accumulation trend suggests that demand is outpacing supply at this stage.
Will Ethereum Hit $17K?
Since the approval of spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), Ethereum has underperformed compared to Bitcoin. However, its underlying fundamentals remain strong.
The cryptocurrency has witnessed a surge in accumulation, with long-term holders adding to their positions at record levels.
Historical trends indicate that similar accumulation phases have preceded explosive price movements, suggesting Ethereum could be on the verge of a major breakout.

Crypto analyst Sassal.eth predicts Ethereum could reach $15,000 in 2025, citing strong ETF demand, institutional adoption, and upcoming network upgrades.
If Ethereum price follows its historical pattern, breaking past its all-time high of $4,800 could trigger price discovery mode.
A rally toward $17,000 would need sustained demand, a bullish macro environment, and strong investor confidence.
Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade, set for March or April, aims to enhance scalability, while the Fusaka upgrade in 2026 could be the most extensive update yet.
Institutional interest is also growing, with BlackRock reportedly working on a layer-2 tokenized real-world asset (RWA) platform on Ethereum.
Whales are accumulating ETH at record levels, reducing available supply. If ETF inflows surpass $50 Billion as expected, Ethereum price could accelerate faster than many anticipated.
