The leading DeFi protocol, Uniswap (UNI), surpassed the $10 mark. Uniswap crypto had gained more than 12% at the time of writing in only 24 hours.
This happened on a day characterized by Bitcoin (BTC) reclaiming $115K. On the same day, Ethereum (ETH) surpassed $4,000 for the first time since December 2024.
The protocol has been edging ahead of its fellow competitors, especially after the launch of its blockchain, Unichain. The platform is only second to BSC’s PancakeSwap. This retains the highest volume for DeFi protocols.
Despite launching the chain just a few months ago, its users ensured it retained its position among the top-traded platforms.
Uniswap Crypto Cumulative Volume
Since launching its mainnet, the Uniswap crypto platform has seen over $115 billion in trading volume on version 4. Per 21Shares on X, the blockchain was fueled by the lightning-fast processing speeds and developer-built Hooks. Also, it was providing liquidity on other protocols.
Despite the recent surge, the first three months were challenging as the altcoin had a cumulative of about $35 billion. The last month toward the end of Q2 saw the volume more than double as it clocked $80 billion. This made June the most traded since its launch.

The increased usage was attributed to low gas fees. A comparison of EulerSwap, Uniswap and Fluid DEX gave values of $450K, $125K and $155K. This was even though the Ethereum mainnet was among the most expensive transactions relative to other chains.
Also, the rising trading volume is attributed to the pairing of creator and content coins with ZORA via Uniswap V4. The amount of ZORA deposited has surged by 40x since June.
The daily volume of $4 billion was up 4.5%. The total value locked (TVL) on Unichain was $4.52 billion, down by 1.16% in 24 hours. Specifically, v2 TVL had $2.06 billion, v3 TVL had $1.62B, and v4 lagged behind with $837 million.
Annual Swaps on Unichain
Apart from the surging trading volume, Uniswap crypto also strengthened its position. It recorded more than 719 million swaps in a year. Most swaps were from stablecoins, mainly USDC, to Ethereum and other ETH-based products.
These transactions dwarfed those of 2024 despite 2025 having about 4 months left. Unichain made this possible by removing the over-reliance on the Ethereum network for transactions.

Among the swaps were also NFTs that debuted on Unichain, further heightening the stakes than ever. More telling is that Clanker’s new tools allowed simple token deployment. All these contributed to the latest milestone reached, but will this last? Time would tell.
Can Uniswap Crypto Hit The Target?
Per CryptoRand on CoinMarketCap, the Uniswap price on a 3-day chart cleared the resistance as it advanced higher. Since the April-May double bottom, UNI price has broken more than three descending trendlines, with the latest at the $10 level.
With the price now at $11, UNI was eyeing $20. This was equivalent to almost 100% of the current valuation. The value was hit lastly in December 2024. And UNI being a beta for Ethereum, the altcoin could follow in its footsteps.

An alternative anticipation would be a pause in the surge due to historical occurrences. Historically, August has marked bottoms that precede Q4 rallies in the crypto space. Users can anticipate an unexpected drop, like on August 5th, 2024. This started the bull run.
Wrapping it up, UNI’s on-chain statistics were doing great, just like its price. However, there was no certainty of continued price growth in the short term, but on a long-term scale.
