Key Insights:
- Ethereum price to rally amid institutional demand
- Ethereum’s deflationary design boosts scarcity, supporting price growth.
- Ethereum’s ETF and stablecoin adoption signal strong long-term growth.
Ethereum (ETH) price caught the attention of retail and institutional investors alike, and it is hard to disagree with this. With a number of positive aspects coming ahead, the crypto is set to undergo a jump in price. According to analysts, the top altcoin has the potential to hit between $10,000 and $12,000 during the short term.
Ethereum Price Analysis: Institutional Interest Continues to Surge
Institutional demand in Ethereum has been on the rise, resulting in upward pressure on price. Recent Lookonchain data showed that large institutions have been accumulating ETH aggressively. One of the biggest buyers was BitMine Immersion Technology, which bought 106,485 ETH, valued at $470.5 million.
This acquisition raised the firm’s total holdings to 1,297,093 ETH, valued at $5.75 billion.

The buying spree didn’t stop there. An unknown whale transferred 92,899 ETH, worth $412 million, into multiple new wallets. These acquisitions suggested long-term holding plans.

Interestingly, the long-term and extensive accumulation of institutional investors has led Ethereum to develop a bullish sentiment and drive the price higher.
Ethereum ETFs and Stablecoin Adoption
Furthermore, the Ethereum ETFs are rising in the crypto space. Recent data showed a weekly inflow of $2.85 billion into the Ethereum spot ETF, which recorded the largest influx in Ethereum. Coupled with the growth of ETFs, stablecoins will play a critical role in enhancing the Ethereum price.

The Genius Act could bring trillions of dollars worth of stablecoins onto Ethereum’s blockchain, increasing demand for ETH in the process.

More so, Ethereum being used to tokenize real-world assets (RWAs) has increased its application beyond being a medium of exchange or a store of value.
ETH’s Deflationary Nature Drives Price Potential
Meanwhile, Ethereum’s transition to proof-of-stake (PoS) has made ETH inherently deflationary. The supply of ETH tokens decreases, and the asset demand keeps growing. The scarcity effect and the increase in institutional and retail interest can push Ethereum price up.
ETH has a deflationary design, and many analysts expect ETH to rise to a range of $10,000 to $12,000.
However, Ethereum’s supply on exchanges has been decreasing rapidly. More ETH is being locked up in staking contracts, lowering the circulating supply. This limited supply and surging demand set Ethereum up for a price rally in the short term.
Corporate Push Into Ether Treasuries
More so, the increased interest of the corporate sector in Ethereum additionally strengthens its role in the institutional portfolio. A notable example is BitMine Immersion Technology, which acquired $24.5 billion through a stock issue to develop its Ethereum treasury.
The same happened with SharpLink, which raised $389 million to the same end, further establishing the corporate face of Ethereum.
With Ethereum emerging as an essential part of corporate treasuries, institutional demand will push ETH price. Ethereum-based financial products, such as staking ETFs, will likely move increasingly more money into the Ethereum ecosystem.
Meanwhile, this bullish sentiment towards Ethereum does not only apply to the retail and institutional markets. Traditional financial institutions are also getting behind ETH’s potential.
Standard Chartered increased its Ethereum price target to $7,500. It also stated that in 2025, institutional buying of Ethereum was high, and the use of stablecoins in the blockchain ecosystem was rapidly growing.
The bank’s long-term projection for ETH is equally bullish, forecasting a price of $12,000 by 2026, $18,000 in 2027, and $25,000 by 2028.
