Crypto news sources report that major token unlocks, totaling over $309 million, are scheduled for the week of December 15-22, 2025. LayerZero and Arbitrum account for the largest single-event unlocks among prominent projects.
According to Tokenomist data, the unlocks are divided into two categories: large cliff unlocks exceeding $5 million and linear unlocks exceeding $1 million daily.
LayerZero Leads Crypto News With $37.53M Token Unlock
LayerZero (ZRO) will unlock 25.71 million tokens, worth approximately $37.53 million, during the week. The release represents 6.79% of the adjusted released supply and makes it the largest single unlock by dollar value.
Arbitrum will release 96 million ARB tokens valued at $19.98 million. The unlock represents 1.97% of the adjusted released supply, the second-largest cliff unlock by dollar value this week.

The ARB unlock is smaller as a percentage of supply compared to ZRO. The 1.97% addition to circulating supply may have less impact on price than LayerZero’s larger percentage release.
Six Projects Face Cliff Over $5M
SEI will unlock 75.80 million tokens worth $9.46 million, representing 1.48% of adjusted released supply.
zkSync (ZK) will release 173.08 million tokens valued at $5.56 million. The 3.26% supply increase comes as the Ethereum Layer 2 project competes with Arbitrum and other scaling solutions.
LISTA will unlock 35.03 million tokens worth $5.68 million, accounting for 7.19% of adjusted released supply.
SPACE ID (ID) will release 72.65 million tokens valued at $5.08 million. The 5.81% supply increase impacts the token economics of the Web3 domain name service provider.
RAIN and SOL Dominate Linear Unlock Schedule in Crypto News
RAIN leads linear unlocks with 9.43 billion tokens worth $75.04 million scheduled for release. The 2.78% of circulating supply unlock is the largest linear distribution by dollar value.
Solana (SOL) will unlock 486,990 tokens, worth approximately $64.34 million, through linear vesting.
TRUMP will release 4.89 million tokens valued at $26.80 million, representing 2.45% of circulating supply. Worldcoin (WLD) follows with 37.23 million tokens, worth $21.55 million, representing 1.52% of the supply.
Dogecoin (DOGE) will unlock 94.90 million tokens worth $12.94 million. The 0.06% release of the circulating supply has a minimal impact, given DOGE’s large total supply.
Smaller Projects Face Substantial Percentage Unlocks
Crypto news sources also track smaller projects with major percentage releases. As per CoinMarketCap data, Vana (VANA) will unlock 8.85 million tokens worth $24.39 million, representing 7.13% of total locked tokens.
ZTX will release 206.59 million tokens valued at $81,019.60, accounting for 2.07% of total locked supply. Verida (VDA) unlocks 21.43 million tokens worth $22,640.72 at 2.14% of total locked tokens.

Drift (DRIFT) will release 13.16 million tokens valued at $2.34 million, representing 1.32% of total locked supply. FONE unlocks 184.62 million tokens worth $36,944.15 at 1.54% of total locked tokens.
The concentrated timing of multiple large unlocks creates known selling pressure points. Projects coordinate vesting schedules to incentivize long-term holder behavior among team members and early investors.
Cliff unlocks release tokens in single large batches at predetermined dates. Linear unlocks distribute tokens gradually over time, reducing immediate market impact.
December Unlocks Exceed $309M Across Major Projects
The combined value of cliff and linear unlocks from December 15-22 surpasses $309 million. The figure shows that a substantial new supply is entering crypto markets during the holiday season.
Historical data shows token unlocks often create temporary price weakness. The magnitude of price impact varies based on project fundamentals, market conditions, and the percentage of supply being released.
