As the Bitcoin price continues to struggle to move past $90,000, market experts see a deeper correction ahead.
Peter Schiff predicts a Bitcoin crash ahead of the USD crash, citing fragile US economic conditions. His comments come amid a strong rally in Gold and Silver, as both metals hit all-time highs.
Bitcoin Crash Likely Before U.S. Dollar Crash
Amid the strong Gold and Silver rally, economist Peter Schiff predicts a Bitcoin crash, calling it the first casualty. He added that a surge in the precious metal could lead to a broader decline in Bitcoin price.
According to Schiff, many Bitcoin holders acquired the asset as a hedge against a potential dollar collapse. However, he believes that this strategy could backfire. He suggested that a Bitcoin sell-off could catch investors off guard, noting that BTC is not a safety-net against the US Dollar crisis.
Schiff also stated that the United States is on the brink of the biggest economic crisis of our times. “Gold and silver prices skyrocketing to new highs will ultimately pull the rug out from under the U.S. dollar and Treasuries, sending consumer prices, bond yields, and unemployment soaring,” he said.
All eyes are on the US CPI data release this week on Dec. 18. It will decide how the US central bank moves ahead with the upcoming Fed rate cuts. On the other hand, the Bank of Japan’s rate hike decision on Dec. 19 will be another factor to watch.
During the previous rate hike decision this year in 2025, Bitcoin crashed 20-30%. A similar behavior this time would push the BTC price to the lows of $70,000.
Bitcoin Crash to $10,000 Likely, Says Bloomberg Expert
Bloomberg Senior Commodity Strategist Mike McGlone believes that a Bitcoin crash to $10,000 is coming. McGlone referenced the recent comments made by Strategy chairman Michael Saylor at the Economic Club of Miami.
Saylor said investors should buy Bitcoin only with money they can afford to lose. On the other hand, Strategy has been actively buying BTC, adding $1 billion worth of Bitcoin earlier this week. As of now, the company holds a total of 671,268 BTC worth a massive $58.3 billion.
McGlone noted that he respects Saylor for entering the market back in 2020. At that time, the BTC price was trading at $10,000. However, he believes that the rally has unfolded with 10x gains since, and there’s nothing much to add now.

These developments include the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs, growing recognition from U.S. policymakers, and broader mainstream adoption. McGlone also pointed to the rapid expansion of the crypto ecosystem, noting that there are now roughly 28 million cryptocurrencies
Considering these factors, McGlone expects Bitcoin to revert to the $10,000 level over time.
Bitcoin Price Trading At Crucial Junction
As per the market data, BTC is hovering near the True Market Mean Price (TMMP). Historically, this level has acted as a key inflection point for price action.
When Bitcoin trades above the TMMP, market pullbacks have typically been met with buying interest. However, if BTC trades below TMPP, any rallies will get sold.

The TMMP is currently estimated at around $81,500, placing Bitcoin at a pivotal decision zone. The AVIV Ratio measures investor profitability and market positioning.
It shows that current conditions resemble past mid‑cycle consolidation phases. It does not point to a market top. It also does not signal capitulation. It indicates the market is still in a consolidation stage.
