World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has launched its lending platform, World Liberty Markets. The Trump-backed decentralized finance project made the announcement on X. It promised users access to high-performance liquidity markets.
The move marks the latest effort by the DeFi project, which already offers the USD1 stablecoin and has broader ambitions.
The announcement reads:
“World Liberty Markets is now live, built to give users access to transparent, high-performance liquidity markets provided by @dolomite_io.”
USD1 to be the key asset on the World Liberty Financial Markets
Unsurprisingly, World Liberty stablecoin USD1 will be the key asset on WLFI Markets. The stablecoin, which launched in March 202,5, already has over $3.4 billion in market capitalization. However, WLFI is hoping to boost its adoption.
According to the announcement, the launch finally gives its stablecoin USD1 a home. Other assets will also serve as collateral. These include WLFI, Ethereum, Tether USDT, Circle USDC, and Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin (cbBTC).
While the platform plans to support more tokens over time, the announcement stated that USD1 is central to the new platform. It noted that WLFI Markets was built to ensure USD1 remains productive across the entire WLFI ecosystem.
WLFI said the new platform will drive its tokenized finance goals. It will provide users access to real-world assets (RWA).

It said:
“WLFI Markets is built to support the future of tokenized finance by providing access to third party and WLFI-branded real-world asset products, supporting new tokenized assets as they launch, and creating deeper and wider access to USD1 across all WLFI applications.”
Interestingly, the USD1 point program has also been enabled for the WLFI Market. This allows users who supply USD1 as liquidity on the market to earn points subject to terms and conditions.
WLFI saw only slight gains after the announcement. However, DOLO, the native token for Dolomite, has increased by 63% in the past 24 hours.
This is due to WLFI’s decision to partner with the protocol to power WLFI Markets’ liquidity markets. The partnership now leaves unanswered questions on the Aave and WLFI relationship.
WLFI Lending Foray to Increase Concerns About Conflict of Interest
Meanwhile, WLFI’s venture into the $67B crypto lending sector will only raise further concerns about the Trump family’s crypto interests. These concerns have been growing for a while, and they also emerged after WLFI launched its USD 1 stablecoin.
Many believe that the Trump family’s affiliations with the cryptocurrency industry are a conflict of interest that enables private enrichment.
Reuters investigated the Trump family’s crypto ventures. It found their income topped $800 million in early 2025. The earnings came just from the first half of the year.
However, World Liberty Financial has denounced this narrative. They noted that the Trump family is not directly involved in the project decisions.
Interestingly, these concerns are influencing current deliberations over pro-crypto legislation, including the Market Structure Bill. Democrats push for ethics safeguards in the bill. They want rules to stop elected officials from profiting through crypto ties.
