Bitcoin price reclaimed $65,000 on Monday as traders prepared for the Federal Reserve’s July policy decision. Binance market data placed BTC near $65,300, while CoinMarketCap showed rising daily volume.
The rebound returned BTC crypto above a closely watched psychological level. However, exchange-flow data showed retail transfers remained stronger than whale deposits before the policy announcement.
Bitcoin Price Rebounds Above $65,000
Binance’s market page showed Bitcoin trading near $65,300, up about 1.4% over 24 hours. CoinMarketCap separately placed the price of bitcoin near $65,435, with daily volume around $16.8 billion.
CoinMarketCap valued Bitcoin’s circulating market capitalisation near $1.31 trillion. Its data also showed roughly 20.06 million coins circulating from Bitcoin’s capped 21 million supply.
The market periodical reported that Bitcoin crossed $65,000 after oil prices declined during renewed U.S.-Iran ceasefire efforts. Ether outperformed Bitcoin, rising above $1,950 as broader risk appetite improved.
The price recovery followed a weekend close near $64,300, based on Yahoo Finance historical data. Bitcoin therefore entered Monday with improving momentum, but remained inside its broader July range.
Lower oil prices reduced immediate inflation pressure across risk markets. Still, traders faced another macro test from the Federal Open Market Committee meeting.
Bitcoin Price Tests Short-Term Resistance
That Martini Guy identified $65,700 as Bitcoin’s next technical test. He placed the following resistance near $67,200, provided the market held above $64,000.

CrypNuevo described the move as a climb from $59,000 range lows toward a $69,000 midpoint. However, he warned that momentum showed early weakness inside a rising channel.
His analysis retained an upside bias toward the range midpoint. It also identified a possible retracement toward a nearby liquidity trendline before another advance.
These levels framed a narrow short-term structure. A sustained break above $65,700 could expose the higher resistance zone, while rejection could return BTC toward $64,000.

The setup did not confirm a broader breakout. Bitcoin still traded below the $69,000 midpoint identified in CrypNuevo’s range analysis.
Volume offered limited confirmation for either direction. Price held above reclaimed support, but the market had not cleared the nearest resistance threshold.
Bitcoin Price Faces Mixed Binance Flow Data
CryptoQuant contributor Amr Taha reported that Binance whale inflows fell to $3.9 billion on July 27. The 30-day total had declined from roughly $7 billion on June 12.

That represented a 44.3% contraction in large-holder transfers. Retail inflows fell 22% to about $7.8 billion from approximately $10 billion on June 5.
Retail transfers therefore stood near twice the whale total. The difference suggested smaller holders remained more active than large wallets on Binance.
Exchange deposits do not confirm selling. Traders can transfer Bitcoin for collateral, internal settlement, derivatives activity, or spot transactions.
The flow divergence still showed a shift in participant composition. Lower whale deposits reduced one source of potential supply, while retail transfers remained comparatively elevated.
The data measured 30-day transfer totals rather than completed sales. That distinction limited bearish conclusions from the higher retail share.
Bitcoin.org describes Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer network without central authority. However, centralised exchanges still influence short-term liquidity through deposits, withdrawals, and order-book activity.
Federal Reserve Decision Sets the Next Catalyst
Federal Reserve records scheduled the two-day policy meeting for July 28 and July 29. The central bank planned its decision for 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday.
The Federal Reserve also scheduled Chair Jerome Powell’s press conference for 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Markets will assess the decision, inflation language, and guidance on future borrowing costs.
CoinDesk cited Giottus chief executive Vikram Subburaj, who placed hike odds near 36.3%. He said a 25-basis-point increase remained possible as energy-related inflation risks returned.
Higher rates could support Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar. Those moves often pressure leveraged positions across crypto and other risk assets.
A policy hold could reduce immediate pressure, depending on Powell’s guidance. However, unchanged rates would not automatically confirm looser financial conditions.
Options pricing could shift before the announcement as traders hedge short-term exposure. Spot flows may then show whether larger holders return after the decision. That positioning left both cohorts exposed to abrupt policy-driven volatility.
The next verifiable catalyst arrives on July 29. Traders will watch $64,000 support and $65,700 resistance before the Federal Reserve announcement.
