HOOD stock rose on Sept. 30 after Robinhood expanded its push into agentic trading at the company’s annual HOOD Summit.
Shares gained about 5% intraday after Robinhood introduced in-app AI agents alongside perpetual futures, earnings contracts and planned weekend equities trading.
The product expansion builds on Robinhood’s earlier May launch of Agentic Trading, which allowed customers to connect third-party AI models directly to its platform
Robinhood Stock Jumps as it Bets on Agentic Trading
HOOD stock has done well in the past few days, with the rally being driven by the ongoing artificial intelligence (AI) boom.
In a statement at the annual event for its most active traders, the company said that it was launching an in-app AI agent that can answer questions about the market, build an investment strategy from scratch, and then place trades even as a user sleeps.
Robinhood’s AI agent will be able to do in-depth research on companies and cryptocurrencies and present them to investors in an easy-to-read format. It will also have the ability to conduct the “Run the wheel strategy”, which is a common approach in stock options trading. This approach seeks to generate income by selling cash-secured puts and covered calls.
When commenting about the service, Vlad Tenev, the CEO, said that the service will make it possible for retail investors to access tools that were once available to institutional investors.
The service makes Robinhood one of the most innovative companies in the financial services industry. Over time, it has launched several solutions, including commission-free trades and gamified trading.
It has also become the first company to launch its own predictions market platform and a layer-two chain. Recent data shows that Robinhood Chain has become the second most popular chain in the DEX trading industry.
Trump Administration Auto-Enrolling Children in Trump Accounts
Robinhood stock price also jumped after a major change in Trump Accounts, which was launched a few months ago. Trump Accounts make it possible for families to invest in all children who were born since January last year.
The service has been optional to parents since its launch. Now, however, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has committed to enrol 60 million children to the service.
This is an important milestone for Robinhood because it is one of the few partners for the service. BNY is the custodian of the service, while Robinhood built the app for Treasury and handles customer service. At the same time, Robinhood Securities acts as an initial trustee, holding and administering assets on behalf of clients.
Separately, HOOD stock may also benefit from ongoing improvements in the crypto industry, with Bitcoin and altcoins rising in the double digits from their lows this year.
Analysts believe that the company has more room to grow in the near term. The average estimate among analysts is that its third-quarter revenue will come in at $1.39 billion, up by 8.85% from a year earlier.
The only issue, however, is that it is highly overvalued. It trades with a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 45, much higher than the sector median of 10. It is also higher than the five-year average of 37.
HOOD Stock Technical Analysis

The daily chart shows that Robinhood stock has rebounded, moving from a low of $63.52 in March to the current $122. A closer look shows that it formed an ascending channel and is now slightly below its upper side.
The stock has remained above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA). It also remained above the Ichimoku cloud indicator. Therefore, the stock will likely continue rising, with the next important target being at $150. This view will be confirmed if it moves above the upper side of the channel.
