Alphabet stock is trading at $354.37, gaining 1.75%, as Citizens maintained its $515 price target and Market Outperform rating. Analyst Andrew Boone cited Google’s expanding AI model strategy, which allows businesses to use Gemini alongside competing models. The outlook comes as other Wall Street firms raise their GOOGL stock forecasts ahead of third-quarter earnings.
Citizens Maintains $515 Alphabet Stock Price Target
Citizens analyst Andrew Boone reiterated his Market Outperform rating on Alphabet, pointing to Google’s growing role in enterprise artificial intelligence.
The analyst said Google’s strategy allows businesses to choose between Gemini AI and third-party models, including Anthropic’s Claude. This way, businesses have more flexibility, and Google can control which AI models perform which tasks.
Boone has highlighted Google’s cost management capabilities that allow companies to monitor their AI spending per project and department. He suggests that with more companies integrating AI into their operations, these tools may make Google’s case that much better.
The rating follows other positive analyst revisions tied to Alphabet’s cloud and advertising businesses. Recent Alphabet stock price forecasts included higher targets from Tigress Financial and Evercore.
However, Boone identified competition from open-source AI models as a risk, particularly for routine office tasks. He also noted that Gemini remains unavailable within Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft Office.
Google AI Strategy Supports Higher Wall Street Targets
Google’s newest business AI project sheds a bit more light into the Citizen estimates, especially when businesses are looking for solutions that can cut down on tedious tasks.
Google Cloud announced at this year’s Gemini at Work that their new AI assistant is one that handles business tasks at each and every stage. This system integrates company data with AI models and is compatible with existing workplace applications, according to the team.
With the aid of Gemini Agent, users can plan tasks and choose appropriate models automatically, supporting research, coding, and content creation. Google also included security controls and centralized administration to help organizations manage AI deployment.
The development comes as TD Cowen raised its Alphabet stock target from $475 to $485 on October 8. Analyst John Blackledge maintained a Buy rating, citing expectations for stronger Google Cloud revenue.
TD Cowen expects third-quarter Google Cloud revenue to more than double, compared with 82% growth during the second quarter. The firm also projects 14% growth in Google Search spending and approximately 12% growth for YouTube.
Its third-quarter net revenue growth estimate stands at 30.3%, although operating income and earnings forecasts remain below consensus. Meanwhile, Alphabet’s AI infrastructure spending has raised questions about cash generation, despite rapid cloud revenue growth.
GOOGL Stock Price Approaches $360 Resistance
Alphabet stock has traded within a symmetrical triangle since May, with its price movements narrowing as the pattern approaches a breakout point. Ali Martinez, a crypto and stock analyst, highlighted $360 as the critical resistance level.

At the current price of $354.37, the GOOGL stock is up 1.75% but remains below resistance. Martinez expects a close above $360 to confirm a bullish breakout, potentially opening the way toward $400.
The $400 target represents approximately 11% upside from $360. If the stock does not break resistance, however, it remains in the current consolidation pattern, and there has not been a positive breakout.
