PYTH Price Surges 16% as Pyth Unveils AI Market Data Upgrade

PYTH price surged more than 16% on Oct. 16 as Pyth Network’s latest AI market data release attracted attention. The token traded near $0.094, approaching the psychological $0.10 resistance level.

The rally followed Pyth Network’s Oct. 15 launch of Pro MCP Server 1.1. The upgrade expands financial data access for artificial intelligence agents and automated research applications.

Pyth’s earlier Nasdaq Basic distribution approval and token buyback policy also remain relevant developments. However, the available evidence does not establish that any single announcement caused the rally.

PYTH Price Rallies as Pyth Network Launches AI Market Data Tools

PYTH extended its October recovery after trading near $0.08 earlier this week, with buyers pushing prices toward $0.095. The token also recorded a monthly gain exceeding 40%, according to recent market data.

The rally coincided with Pyth Network’s launch of Pro MCP Server 1.1, designed to connect AI agents directly with financial markets. The platform provides price information covering cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange, stocks, metals, interest rates and net asset values.

Pyth added a new tool, get_price_range, which enables agents to get all the price updates that are available in the last 60 seconds. With the feature, users can study how markets react when a company reports earnings, central banks make announcements, or other financial news events.

A second feature, get_symbols, enables users to discover the available market feeds and to determine if the subscription includes them. Agents can also request trading pairs that they are familiar with, like BTC/USD, without having to search for full identifiers.

The release is coming at a time when financial firms are beefing up their AI systems to power automated research and market monitoring. Google’s recent enterprise AI efforts have also been directed towards integrating AI models with business applications and structured data.

Pyth Network Gains Nasdaq Basic Distribution Approval

Pyth Network’s October rally follows its approval as an external distributor of Nasdaq Basic market data. The agreement allows Pyth to distribute real-time U.S. equity quotes and trading information through its Data Marketplace.

Nasdaq Basic includes top-of-book prices, trade information, and reference prices for U.S.-listed securities. However, customers must obtain Nasdaq licensing and written approval before accessing the licensed data.

Pyth reported annual recurring revenue of $11.5 million in September, alongside more than 3,811 available Pro symbols. Its Terminal platform also reached 129,265 monthly active users during the reporting period.

The expansion follows the rising interest in the tokenized stock trading platforms, where reliable equity prices and market information are essential. Pyth’s marketplace also serves as another avenue for licensed financial data throughout blockchain and traditional applications.

PYTH Price Technical Analysis: Can Bulls Target $0.20?

PYTH price is testing the upper boundary of a descending channel that has controlled trading since 2024. The recent recovery has brought prices toward the 0.09–0.10 resistance area.

A sustained breakout above $0.10 could open the next resistance zone between $0.12 and $0.15. The larger chart shows that the $0.2008 level is a possible resistance area to consider should buyers remain active.

The breakout, however, is not confirmed until prices make a support above the descending resistance line. Failure to hold the recovery will mean a return of attention to $0.07 to $0.08 support.

Beyond the technical setup, Pyth Network’s token buyback policy provides another development for investors to monitor. Under its 100 Rule, the Pyth DAO allocates 100% of eligible product revenue to purchasing PYTH tokens. The network confirmed that its reserve already held 41 million PYTH when the policy was announced.

The policy links revenue from Pyth’s products to demand for its native token. However, PYTH’s near-term price direction will still depend on buying activity and whether it can sustain a breakout above $0.10.
