Key Insights:
- Solana price rebounded 15% to $116 after Trump pledged global tariff rollbacks.
- ETF approval odds for Solana jumped to 81% after Paul Atkins joined the SEC.
- Over 64% of SOL is staked, and token unlocks are decreasing—tightening supply.
Solana (SOL) price posted a sharp rebound to $116 on Thursday, rising from an intraday low of $100. The rally followed former President Donald Trump’s unexpected pledge to roll back global tariffs if re-elected.
However, the most compelling bullish catalyst came from analyst CryptoCurb, who shared a long-term chart forecasting a $1,000 Solana price target. The convergence of regulatory optimism, macro catalysts, and improving tokenomics positioned Solana among the top-performing altcoins in April.
Solana Price Skyrockets 15%—Is $1,000 the Next Target?
Crypto analyst CryptoCurb identified a parabolic path for Solana price toward $1,000, based on “generational bid support.” The technical chart illustrated a historical pattern of accumulation followed by explosive price discovery. On the weekly timeframe, the chart showed SOL rebounding from key support zones formed during past market cycles.

This generational bid support zone now appears to align with the $100–$115 range, matching the current rebound levels. The analysis also highlighted that Solana price has previously followed a similar trajectory from a support base to over $250 in late 2021.
Should macro and institutional trends continue, the price could rise over 7x from current levels to reach CryptoCurb’s $1,000 target. This move would be backed by stronger fundamentals and favorable regulation.
Trump’s Trade Triggers Market-Wide Bid
Solana price experienced a major surge when Donald Trump announced through public statements his plan to eliminate all existing trade barriers except those against China. These policy changes indicated a possible trade strategy transition, which generated both stock market and large-cap crypto market positive reactions. Solana led altcoins with a 15% jump, outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum.
However, the wider community sentiment pivoted to the bullish side because of improving supply chain and overall expectations of lower import prices. This could reduce inflationary pressure. The optimism returned dollar liquidity into the market and revived the desire of investors to invest in risky and more worth it assets such as Solana.
ETF Approval Odds Rise After SEC Shift
Interestingly, in a major regulatory development, the U.S. SEC confirmed Paul Atkins as a new commissioner on April 9. Atkins, a known crypto advocate and former Republican commissioner, is expected to influence policy decisions around crypto exchange-traded products. Following this, the probability of Solana ETF approval jumped to 81% on Polymarket.
The listing of a new ETF has brought back optimism about Solana, with investors comparing it to the Bitcoin rally that occurred after the approval of the Bitcoin ETF in January 2024. If Solana is approved for a spot or a futures-based ETF under the influence of Atkins, then this will be a major leap for institutional acceptance. A Solana ETF would also allow managed funds, pension funds, and brokers to invest in SOL, which would automatically attract billions of dollars in passive money.
Supply Factor to Boost the Bullish Structure
On-chain data added to the bullish narrative. According to SimplyStaking, over 64% of the total SOL supply was staked, effectively removing it from liquid circulation. These tokens, tied to validator nodes, cannot be sold on exchanges, reducing sell pressure.

Moreover, token unlock schedules slowed, easing inflation fears. No major unlock events were expected in Q2 2025. Combined with growing institutional interest, these supply-side factors reinforced the bullish structure.
At the same time, Solana price remained supported by strong network activity. The blockchain recorded over 1.3 million daily active users and decentralized exchange (DEX) volume above $1 billion. Low transaction fees and high throughput continued to attract developers, NFT creators, and DeFi projects.
With regulatory momentum, constrained supply, and increased usage, Solana appeared well-positioned for further upside in the coming months.
