- Ethereum ETFs recorded over $3.5B in inflows post-launch, led by BlackRock and Fidelity.
- The chart pattern suggests ETH price could rally 21% to $3,500, mirroring its 2023 breakout structure.
- Altcoin market cap just broke out of a year-long falling wedge pattern, targeting a 32% rally to $1.45 trillion.
Ethereum (ETH) price has recently moved above a key resistance level, prompting speculation about a possible rally toward the $3.5K level. A combination of strong ETF inflows, a recurring price structure, and rising altcoin sentiment may set the stage for another leg up.
ETH ETFs Record Inflows Impact Ethereum Price
Notably, institutional money has been pouring into different issuer products since spot Ethereum ETFs were approved. Data from Farside Investors indicated that the cumulative inflows are already above $3.5 billion, with the BlackRock ETHA fund and the Fidelity FETH product leading the pack. BlackRock has cumulative flows of over $4.9 billion, and Fidelity has attracted over $1.5 billion.
Additionally, this inflow has been part of a larger picture of confidence in the Ethereum market’s prowess. The additional depth has been provided by Bitwise, VanEck, and other issuers, and outflows in the legacy Grayscale ETHE product suggest a rotation to lower-cost ETF structures. Only on June 10, ETH ETFs experienced $125 million of net inflows, indicating that demand remains regardless of price changes.
Chart Pattern Suggests 21% Ethereum Price Rally
More so, a recent chart shared by market analysts Ash Crypto drew parallels between Ethereum’s 2023 breakout and its current 2025 structure. In 2023, ETH price surged over 21% after breaking through a horizontal resistance level, leading to a sustained upward move. The same technical formation has now reappeared on the daily chart.

Furthermore, the current setup showed Ethereum forming a consolidation range between roughly $2,280 and $2,750. A recent breakout above this zone has opened the possibility for a repeat of the prior pattern. A projected 21.47% move from this breakout level suggests a potential price target of approximately $3,500. This setup has gained attention from traders referencing previous historical behavior as a guide.
Adding to the case of an Ethereum crypto breakout, a recent analysis revealed that Ethereum whales were in a profitable position, limiting the selling pressure. On-chain indicators also registered a rise in unrealized profits among whales, indicating a steady market.
In the analysis, institutional inflows into Ethereum ETFs from Grayscale, iShares, and Fidelity continued to grow, reflecting long-term confidence. Technical indicators, including RSI divergence and consistent higher lows, point to a potential surge above $2,800, with targets set near the $3,800 level.
Ethereum Crypto Gains Strong Support
More so, on-chain data from Glassnode confirmed that Ethereum price has built a substantial base during its recent consolidation phase. The cost-basis distribution metrics show that over 2.1 million ETH were bought between $2,700 and $2,760. This build-up area has become a key support range.

Moreover, this concentration of purchasing power coincided with the recent breakout above $2,750. These long-term holders can stabilize price action should Ethereum retest lower levels. The pattern of such a strong accumulation is often an indication of patient capital entering the market and not necessarily short-term speculation.
Altcoin Market Cap Breaks Out
Meanwhile, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization, excluding Bitcoin, has shown signs of a broader altcoin recovery. A chart posted by analyst Captain Faibik showed a breakout from a year-long falling wedge pattern on the TOTAL2 index. This breakout followed a period of declining highs and support retests.

Consequently, the projected target from this breakout was around $1.45 trillion, representing an estimated 32% gain from the breakout level. Ethereum, being the largest altcoin by market capitalization, will be leading this broader market trend.
Hence, this altcoin rally may be in sync with Ethereum price technical outlook, and ETF-led demand should the market momentum hold. At press time, Ethereum crypto traded at $2,766, up over 6% in the last 7 days, forming higher lows with resistance near $2,825.
