Key Insights:
- MicroStrategy just transferred 7,383 BTC worth $796M to 3 new wallets, most likely for better custody management.
- Bitcoin Delta Gradient was negative indicating the existence of a continuing downtrend thus correction may not be yet complete but the organic capital inflows were still positive.
- Industry’s key opinion leaders say owning crypto is no longer a speculative position; failing to do so is.
MicroStrategy [MSTR] continued its acquisition of Bitcoin [BTC] while they moved others to new wallets amid sustained accumulation of crypto for long-term gains.
MicroStrategy transferred a total 7,383 BTC worth about 796 million in three different transactions.
MicroStrategy Moving BTC to 3 New 3 Wallets
The three new different wallets separately received 939.937, 3,174, and 3,269 BTC respectively. These transfers marked MicroStrategy’s outflows from their wallets.
Although the amount caused some speculation of a possible sell-off, the trend pointed to an internal reorganization, presumably for better custody, security, or getting ready to make a strategic play.
In the past, MicroStrategy has stuck to its strategy of HODLing, selling off exactly only 704 BTC on one time in the year 2022.

Nevertheless, this timing and magnitude could also mean a willingness to leverage or pledge in the future. This change would not indicate anything more—until further movements or confirmations.
The confirmations could come from sophisticated treasury operations, or from the possibility of preparation of a high market movement by institutions.
As long as this exerting pressure in selling is not reflected on exchanges, this could be a neutral operation, rather than a bearish one—this is logistical, as compared to bearish. To detect a change of mind, traders ought to pay close attention to the wallet activity.
Bitcoin Delta Gradient Suggest Correction Despite Capital Inflows Staying Positive
MicroStrategy actions come as the Delta Gradient of Bitcoin stands at -0.48. This meant the bearish pressure prevailed despite the signs of the market growing stronger as the whole.
Being a combination of both a level of speculative activity and realized activity, this metric showed a negative short-term momentum trend.
Market Gradient on the contrary was 0.44 and Realized Gradient at 0.95 revealing that organic capital inflows were solid.
These numbers suggested that speculative traders might be exiting the scene but long-term holders remained to bring stability into the system.

In the case of a negative Delta Gradient and positive Realized Gradient there would be a tug-of-war between weakness in the short run and strength in the long run.
To become strongly bullish, the Delta Gradient would have to turn positive and create continuous increasing peaks. This would be a confirmation of a trend change.
All in all, even though the correction may not be over completely; the constant capital inflow indicates that the long run fundamentals of Bitcoin are still intact. Any recovery would be due to the re-entry of momentum by short term players.
KOLs Backing Crypto Acquisition in The Long-Run
Meanwhile, the approval of crypto as a long-term investment by key opinion leaders (KOLs) was growing for instance, from Nate Geraci’s post about Ric Edelman allocation.
Edelman, a founder of Edelman Financial Engines advisor, suggested 40% and 10% crypto investments to aggressive and conservative investors, respectively.
Edelman claimed that crypto had become necessity to possess rather than a speculative asset.

Bloomberg’s ETF analyst, Eric Balchunas on X, dubbed it a 10/10 on the wow-scale and other money-people repeated similar client allocation numbers of 10-40%.
Nevertheless, some were worried about overgeneralizing crypto, and worth focusing on Bitcoin and quality assets.
Another commenter also complained about blanket exposure to crypto, emphasizing that some tokens in the past have underperformed.

Generally, there was a gradual agreement among the most high-profile voices that crypto was an essential element in the present-day portfolio.
The change was an indication of a more mature industry sentiment and gels with crypto being a legitimate long-term asset class.
