Cardano price has come under pressure in the past few days, falling by over 13% from its highest point this month. Still, the ADA token has formed the highly bullish golden cross pattern, pointing to an eventual comeback in the coming days as the NIGHT aidrop hype builds.
Cardano Price Chart Pattern Signals to a Potential Surge
The daily chart shows that the ADA Price rebounded sharply after bottoming at $0.5111, where it formed a double-bottom pattern with a neckline at $0.8620, its highest point in May.
Cardano then moved slightly below the key support level at $0.8620 as the bullish momentum ended. It also peaked at $0.900, which coincided with the descending trendline that connects the highest swing since December last year.
Most recently, ADA price has formed the highly bullish golden cross pattern, whivch happens when the 50-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) cross each other when facing upwards.
The ongoing pullback is part of the formation of the bullish pennant pattern, anothe common continuation sign. It has also formed the highly bullish inverse cup-and-handle pattern.
Therefore, these patterns point to an eventual bullish breakout, with the next point to watch being at $1.3242, the highst point in December last year, which is about 63% above the current level.

The bullish Cardano price forecast will be invalidated if the coin falls below the 200-day moving average at $0.700.
Charles Hoskinson Touts Upcoming NIGHT Airdrop
Cardano price rally will likely happen because of the ongoing crypto market rally, especially if Bitcoin makes a breakout above its all-time high.
The other main catalyst will be the coming Glacier airdrop, where Midnight will distribute tokens to top crypto holders. 50% of the NIGHT tokens will go to ADA holders, while the rest will go to holders of other tokens like Ethereum, Bitcoin, XRP, BAT, Binance Coin, Avalanche, and Solana. The qualifying holders are those who held these coins by June 10.
In a statement, Charles Hoskinson said that this will be the biggest airdrop ever. He added that qualifying recipients will be free to do whatever they want with them, including selling and burning. In a recent statement, he predicted that the NIGHT tokens will be valued at about $10 billion during launch.

The NIGHT Airdrop will happen in three key stages, including the Glacier Drop, scavenger mine, and lost-and-found. The drop phase is where all qualifying accounts will claim their tokens.
After this, the scavenger mine will redistribute the unclaimed tokens, while the lost-and-found stage will enable users who failed to participate during the claim stage to recover a portion of their allocations.
Cardano envisions Midnight as a unique sidechain using a technology known as zero-knowledge proofs that is known for its privacy features.
Cardano DeFi Ecosystem is Growing
The other bullish catalyst for Cardano price is that the total value locked (TVL) in the ecosystem has been in a strong trajectory. It has jumped by over 43% in the last 30 days to over $442 million. Some of the top gainers were dApps like Liqwid, Minswap, and Indigo.
At the same time, the stablecoin supply in the network has jumped to $32.67 million, a slight increase from the month-to-date low of $30 million. This is a good sign that the stablecoin volume will do well afte the GENIUS Act signing.
Summary
Cardano price has pulled back in the past few days as investors started to book profits following the recent surge. This retreat could be a strategic entry point as it has formed the highly bullish golden cross pattern. It also formed an inverse cup-and-handle pattern on the daily chart.
Most importantly, Cardano has bullish catalyst in the form of the upcoming NIGHT airdrop that could enrich its biggest holders in the coming weeks. Its DeFi total value locked (TVL) and stablecoin supply are also soaring.
