- The Pi Coin RSI stands at 38.92, signaling ongoing bearish sentiment. Meanwhile, analysts warn of further downsides without renewed demand.
Pi Coin, the native cryptocurrency of Pi Network, continues to remain under strong selling pressure, and is once again closer to retesting the April lows of $0.40. After a rejection at $0.47, the Pi coin value has crashed by over 10%, amid strong bearish sentiment among traders. With $156 million Pi token unlocks looming in August, market analysts are taking a cautious stand on the altcoin.
Pi Coin Value Drops Amid Strong Bearish Sentiment
While most altcoins registered 20-50% in July amid a strong altcoin market rally, Pi coin has lost 18% of its value over the past month with strong bearish sentiment. The altcoin has faced strong rejections, failing to break past the crucial resistance of $0.52. This is due to the massive $280 million Pi token unlocking this month.
The surge in Pi Coin supply on centralized exchange (CEX) has led to further selling pressure on the cryptocurrency. Moving into August, the number of Pi Token unlocks will reduce to $156 million. This might alleviate the selling pressure moving ahead.

With limited buying interest to offset the prevailing supply, PI coin price has struggled to gain upward momentum. The token continues to trade within a narrow range, hovering near its all-time low of $0.40. However, popular Pi Network community member Dr. Altcoin stated that he still continues to be hopeful of a price recovery in August.
Pi Coin Sees Selling Pressure Amid Wallet Failures
PI Coin fell 4% to $0.42 following user complaints about failed token purchases via the newly introduced “Buy” feature in the Pi Wallet. Onramp Money addressed the issue, confirming that integration with the Pi Network is still in progress and the service is not yet live. The company urged users to wait until the official launch, scheduled for August 2025.
The clarification came after several users, particularly from Vietnam, reported fiat deductions without receiving their Pi tokens for over four days. Onramp Money assured that stuck transactions will be resolved once integration is complete. They further emphasized that users should only follow the updates coming from the official channel.
The Pi Wallet’s “Buy” feature, rolled out in partnership with Banxa and Onramper, aims to simplify token purchases using debit/credit cards and Google Pay.
Technical Indicators Flash Bearish Signal
Technical indicators for the Pi Network price flash a bearish signal. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) for the Pi Coin flashes a bearish signal, and currently stands at 38.92, showing strong bearish sentiment among traders.
With 156 million PI tokens scheduled for release next month, the altcoin is under pressure amid weak demand. Without sufficient new buying interest to absorb the incoming supply, PI risks a drop to its all-time low of $0.40. If bearish momentum intensifies, a deeper decline below this level remains possible.

On the other hand, a reversal in sentiment and renewed buyer activity could help stabilize prices in August. A sustained recovery may enable PI to retest and potentially break above the $0.46 resistance level.
