Bitcoin Price Faces Pressure as Corrections Likely to Continue

After the latest selloff, the Bitcoin price was trading near $113,000, indicating short-term correction risk. This shift occurred as the supply of profit fell to 91% after touching nearly 100%.

It’s a trend that has seen altcoins suffer a heavy flush. Technical levels and corporate buyouts shape the outlook as traders weigh downside targets and recovery chances.

Bitcoin Price Correction Signals Point to Short-Term Pressure

According to Cryptoquant analysis, Bitcoin short-term correction signals are building as supply in profit drops to 91%. This measure was near 100% when the Bitcoin price reached recent highs.

However, it has now eased back. The figure also touches the +1 standard deviation (SD) band. This, in the past, has been linked to overheated market phases.

Longer-term signals remain more stable. Supply in profit is still above the 1500-day moving average. This supports the idea that the wider bull cycle is not broken.

Even so, the current position close to the overheated zone points to pressure in the near term. In earlier cycles, a fall back to the +0.4 SD band often marked the point where local bottoms formed.

This is where short-term opportunities tend to appear within a larger trend. Such phases usually repeat every one to two months. Many market participants are now waiting for such a pullback before stepping in with new positions.

Altcoins See Heavier Losses Than Bitcoin

It is important to mention that while Bitcoin price is under pressure, the deeper hit is in altcoins. About $8 Billion in altcoin open interest has been wiped out. In contrast, the Bitcoin price only saw a $1.5 Billion cut.

Notably, this shows how speculative coins are facing sharper corrections compared to BTC. Ethereum was also in focus after BitMine Immersion, led by Tom Lee, bought $1.1 billion worth of ETH.

The deal helped sustain BitMine’s status as the largest public Ethereum holder. However, the company’s stock fell 10% after the move, showing the risk of big single bets.

This briefly pulled attention away from Bitcoin. Still, Bitcoin price held above $112,000. Many see this as a sign of strength.

The gap between Bitcoin and other coins is getting smaller as leverage cools down. For now, Bitcoin remains the main focus while the rest of the market adjusts..

Price Levels and Institutional Moves to Watch

CoinMarketCap data shows that Bitcoin price trades at about $113,137 after sliding below $115,000 earlier in the week. Per this price outlook, that drop formed a head-and-shoulders chart pattern, which many traders read as a warning.

Market data shows that the Bitcoin price tests the 200-day exponential moving average near $113,450. It is seen as a key support zone. If this line fails, the next levels to watch are $110,850, $108,770, and $107,250.

Recent BTC price action also formed a three-black crow pattern, often pointing to bearish momentum.  In addition, the relative strength index has dropped to 26, a level that suggests the market is oversold. This could open the space for a rebound if demand builds.

For momentum to swing back up, Bitcoin must move above $114,750 and then $116,200. A break above that range could allow a push toward $117,900 and $119,300 in the short term. Large corporate buyers continue to add to holdings separately following the current pullback.

Japan’s Metaplanet purchased 5,419 BTC, worth $633 Million, raising its total to 25,555 BTC valued at $3 Billion. In addition, leading Bitcoin treasury firm Strategy bought another 850 Bitcoin for $100 Million. It is essential to state that this brings its total to 639,835 BTC, now worth about $47.3 Billion.

If anything is clear, the move shows that, even if the near-term outlook looks shaky, faith in the long run is still strong. Bitcoin’s next step will hinge on whether it can hold above $113,000 or if selling pushes it down to lower support levels.
