Fidelity Leads $418M Bitcoin ETF Outflow Day
Bitcoin ETF products experienced widespread institutional selling on September 26 with $418.25 million in total net outflows. Fidelity’s FBTC led redemptions with $300.41 million, representing over 71% of the daily outflow total.
BlackRock’s IBIT contributed $37.25 million in outflows and is a rare negative session for the dominant institutional fund.

Grayscale’s GBTC added $17.14 million in redemptions while the newer BTC product posted $12.57 million in selling pressure. ARKB recorded $17.81 million in outflows, and Bitwise BITB contributed $23.79 million.
VanEck’s HODL experienced $9.28 million in outflows, while multiple CBOE-listed products, including BRRR, BTCO, EZBC, and BTCW, showed zero activity.
Total net assets declined to $143.56 billion while cumulative inflows since launch remain positive at $56.81 billion. The asset level decline shows both outflows and Bitcoin price consolidation around $111,000.
The outflow breaks a strong September trend that saw substantial weekly inflows earlier in the month.
Weekly Outflows Reach $902M Reversing Monthly Gains
Bitcoin ETF weekly data reveals $902.50 million in net outflows for the period ending September 26. This is the largest weekly redemption since early September.
The reversal follows strong institutional demand throughout most of September. That includes the $886.65 million weekly inflow period ending September 19.
Daily outflow progression shows volatility with $363.17 million out on September 22, brief $241 million inflows on September 24, then renewed selling with $103.61 million, $258.46 million, and $418.25 million over the following three sessions.
The weekly performance contrasts with earlier September strength when Bitcoin ETFs attracted $2.34 billion during the week ending September 12. August also showed consistent institutional buying with $440.71 million and $246.42 million in positive weekly flows.
Trading volumes remain elevated at $18.52 billion for the weekly period. Ethereum ETFs also posted negative weekly performance with $795.56 million in outflows.
Bitcoin Price Analysis Shows Range-Bound Trading
Analyst CryptoBusy has identified Bitcoin trapped in a narrowing range with key support at $108,600 and resistance around $111,000-$112,000.
CryptoQuant’s 30-day momentum index recently turned negative, which shows fading buyer strength and increasing downside risk. The technical setup suggests a consolidation phase that needs a catalyst for directional resolution.
Previous positive surge periods coincided with substantial ETF inflows and Bitcoin price appreciation above $110,000. Current negative readings suggest institutional caution about chase buying at elevated levels.
Ted noted that Bitcoin experienced a pump mostly driven by short position closures rather than fresh buying demand.

The analyst mentioned that a daily close above $113,500 is needed for confirmation of strong rally continuation. Without breaking this resistance, BTC will likely revisit recent lows of around $108,600 in support.
The $108,600-$112,000 range has contained Bitcoin price action for multiple sessions as institutional flows turn negative.
A break below $108,600 could cause additional selling toward lower support zones. Conversely, a sustained move above $113,500 would invalidate the bearish setup and signal the resumption of the uptrend.
Historical Q4 performance data from CoinGlass shows Bitcoin averaging 85% returns during the fourth quarter, supporting the “Santa Rally” thesis. Despite current consolidation, the seasonal pattern provides a fundamental backdrop for potential year-end strength.
