Ethereum (ETH) has demonstrated resilience over the past week, mirroring the price of Bitcoin (BTC), which recently reached a new high, just above the $ 124,000 threshold. Analysts at CT have been eyeing a bullish quarter for the whole crypto sector, with some having reservations about an altcoin rally.
In the meantime, a couple of factors have been attributed to the bold prediction that an analyst eyed a gold-like rally in the last quarter of the year. Among these factors were the whales’ accumulations and the launch of GrayScale spot exchange-traded products (ETPs). Here are the finer details of these different fronts for ETH.
Ethereum News: GrayScale Launches The First ETH Spot ETPs
The latest Ethereum news was the launch of the first-ever two ETH spot ETPs by Grayscale, which were listed for trading in the United States. According to a GrayScale post on X (formerly Twitter), the Ethereum Mini Trust ETF (ETH) and the Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE) will be enabled with the staking feature.
The move will increase institutional adoption as well as expose more traditional investors to crypto investment, particularly Ethereum.

Additionally, GrayScale would be rolling out a similar product for Solana (SOL). The hype from the development of these first U.S. products could drive the prices of the two assets.
Arthur Hayes and Whales Accumulating ETH
This was not the end of positive Ethereum news, as the founder of BitMEX, Arthur Hayes, together with other whales, was buying the token.

According to Onchain Lens data, Arthur Hayes purchased approximately 114 ETH, valued at $ 520,000, from Galaxy Digital OTC. When Hayes buys, tokens tend to rally shortly afterwards due to his influence in the crypto sector. Another whale sought to transfer approximately 5,500 ETH from Binance to Matrixport, as reported by Ash Crypto on X.

Looking at the bigger picture of this accumulation, the activity of whales was more than evident. These big players began aggressively buying ETH after the lows observed in April 2025. Ethereum’s price action dipped to around the $1,400 zone, according to Crypto Rover’s on-chain analysis chart on X.
From a numerical perspective, these whales, which did not include centralized exchange (CEX) and miner addresses, increased their holdings by about 8 million ETH.

Altogether, these were signs of confidence in further price appreciation, especially with the historical performance of altcoins in the years that follow the Bitcoin halving. With that in mind, analysts were expecting a rally for the broader market, and in particular, ETH, the largest-cap altcoin.
Ethereum Price Prediction: Analyst Eyes Gold-like Rally in Q4
Ethereum price prediction chart from Ted Pillows suggested a potential gold-like rally for both BTC and ETH in Q4. The price of gold has been in a consistent uptrend in the last five weeks, with little to almost no correction, indicating strength. The 3-day chart move was also symmetrical for SPX, which made a new peak of 6,734 points.
A keen focus on Ethereum price chart on this timeframe indicated the altcoin could hit $6,450 to match the current outlook of gold. Some analysts predicted an altcoin season once ETH broke above $5,000.

In summary, Ethereum news indicates that the ETH could be bound for a rally. However, investing in risk-on assets carried risks, particularly following the recent movement in gold prices.
