Crypto ETF Update: Solana, LTC, HBAR ETFs To Go Live

A flood of crypto ETFs is set to hit Wall Street today, October 28, for altcoins such as Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), and Hedera (HBAR). Top Bloomberg analysts, including James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas, have reported these developments through the latest Nasdaq filings. This launch could further trigger greater institutional inflows, driving the crypto market rally ahead.

Crypto ETFs for Solana, LTC, and HBAR To Go Live Today

Despite the ongoing US government shutdown, crypto ETFs are poised to enter the market. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart confirmed that the first spot ETFs for Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), and Hedera (HBAR) are expected to debut in the U.S. this week.

According to Seyffart, the approvals were made possible by recent language included in a guidance letter issued by the SEC’s Division of Corporate Finance. The update appears to have opened the regulatory pathway for multiple altcoin-based spot ETFs to launch in the U.S. market for the first time.

Asset manager Canary Capital submitted the 8-A filings to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for both spot Litecoin ETF and spot HBAR ETF earlier today. The Canary Litecoin ETF will list on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker LTCC. The filing signals that the fund’s launch is imminent, with trading expected to begin shortly.

At the same time, Nasdaq has officially published the listing circular for the Canary Hedera ETF (Ticker: HBR). It also confirmed that the fund will begin trading on October 28, 2025. The ETF will offer direct spot exposure to HBAR, the native token of the Hedera Network.

According to the circular, the fund will hold actual HBAR in custody with BitGo and Coinbase Custody, while CoinDesk Indices will provide official pricing data. The dual ETF developments underscore the growing institutional demand for diversified digital asset exposure in regulated markets.

Bitwise Introduces Staking Solana ETF

Bitwise Asset Management announced the launch of the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (Ticker: BSOL), which will begin trading on October 28. The fund will become the first U.S.-listed exchange-traded product (ETP) offering 100% direct exposure to the spot price of Solana (SOL). Besides, it will also participate in on-chain staking rewards.

According to Bitwise, the Solana crypto ETF will target 100% of assets staked, leveraging Solana’s average 7%+ annual staking reward rate. Staking operations will be conducted through Bitwise Onchain Solutions, powered by Helius Labs. The firm has also introduced a 0% management fee, which will be temporarily waived for a limited period.

Bitwise said it views Solana as a “key platform for bringing capital markets onchain.” It further added that BSOL provides investors with both price exposure and staking yield potential. The company described the ETF launch as a milestone moment, signaling Solana’s continued move into the mainstream of finance.

Will Crypto Market Rally Resume Soon?

The crypto market rally, which started over the past weekend, has taken a pause as Bitcoin price faces rejection at $115,000 levels. Altcoins like Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE) are also seeing some pullback, by once again testing crucial support levels.

With Fed rate cuts expected during the FOMC meeting commencing on October 28, it could catalyze further upside. Moreover, market experts remain bullish on the yellow metal, which is currently on a strong decline.

Crypto analyst Michael van de Poppe reiterated his bullish outlook on the altcoin market. He noted that a period of consolidation in gold prices could favor risk-on assets, including cryptocurrencies.

According to van de Poppe, there has been a negative correlation between the ETH/BTC ratio and gold. Thus, he suggested that weakness or sideways movement in the precious metal often precedes stronger performance in altcoins.

He added that several selective altcoins are already showing early signs of strength, emphasizing that the broader crypto bull cycle likely has another one to two years to run.
