Sui Network (SUI) remains among the most prominent narratives in crypto, thanks to its speed and scalability, which stem from its MOVE programming language. The altcoin was in free fall as the broader crypto market lost more than $1 billion in capitalization in the last 24 hours.
SUI crypto has been one of the biggest gainers over the past year, particularly since the last quarter of 2024, but it is currently losing a key support level. According to an analysis posted by Ted Pillows, SUI crypto was losing its floor on the Bollinger Bands. The analysts questioned, “Where’s the bottom?”
SUI Crypto Test Key Accumulation Zone
On the charts, the breakdown was quite evident, but some analysts held the idea that SUI was still destined for greater heights. Crypto Patel stated, “I am targeting $10 or more for $SUI during this bull run.”
However, the altcoin ought to stay above the key accumulation zone between the $1.60 and $2 price levels for this bias to unfold.
This accumulation zone was located between the 0.382 and 0.5 Fibonacci Retracement (Fib) levels, aligning with bounce areas in strong trends. The Fib tool was overlaid from a low of $0.45 to a high of $5.50, which spanned between August 2024 and early 2025.

If existing bear strength fails to push the SUI crypto price below this accumulation zone, the $10 target remains viable. Conversely, a breakdown could see the altcoin revisit the $1.17 mark, which aligned with the 0.618 Fib level.
While the price action remained weak, the fundamentals for SUI crypto were strong. They constituted total and DEX volumes, in addition to high transaction per second (TPS) rates.
SUI Total and DEX Volume
The data from DefiLlama showed that the total volume on SUI reached an all-time high, surging by more than 300% on average. This reflected the increasing interest in trading the altcoin, with October accounting for more than $40 billion at the time of writing.
In addition, the DeFi activities on the chain were following the same trajectory as seen in the DEX volume. The cumulative DEX volume surpassed the $170 billion mark, indicating the momentum was not slowing down but accelerating.
According to the monthly outlook, DEX volume reached a record-breaking peak of $23 billion. This figure surpassed the usual $15 billion seen in most months of 2025. However, there were months when the volume was less than $10 billion.

This was an indication of strength, as it showed that more participants were interested in trading the SUI crypto token. This occurred amid weakening price action, but was it enough to spark a bullish reversal, especially if the price stabilized above the aforementioned zone?
SUI Crypto on Transactions Speed
Lastly, SUI crypto enthusiast Torero Romero noted the consistency in transaction speeds on this blockchain. The altcoin reached a second peak in TPS of 1,017/sec, following the 1,250/sec seen on October 17th. However, this value did not surpass the record high of 1,338/sec that was seen on July 30th.

The average TPS of about 1,000/sec this month was an indication of SUI’s dominance in speed. This challenged established chains like Solana (SOL) and Ethereum (ETH), as well as Layer 2s (L2s) like Polygon (MATIC).
In conclusion, the SUI crypto price was breaking below key levels, indicating that the test was approaching the $2 zone. If the altcoin can hold above this zone, it may reverse upwards; otherwise, it could drop to the $1.17 level.
