Dogecoin Price Eyes $1.20 Breakout as ETF Hopes Drive Market Optimism

Dogecoin price is showing new strength with multiple bullish patterns developing on higher timeframes. The sentiment improved significantly after reports that Bitwise had filed for a Spot Dogecoin ETF that could be approved within 20 days. The development has given traders hope as they believe DOGE price could be headed for a new bullish period.

ETF Optimism Boosts Dogecoin Price Prospect

The potential approval of the Bitwise Spot Dogecoin ETF has rekindled investor interest in the meme-coin sector. According to a prospects dated November 6, 2025, the registration will become effective under Section 8(a) of the Securities Act of 1933.

Market analysts said the ETF may offer institutional investors their first exposure to Dogecoin. Capital inflows and increased liquidity are usually associated with a large price re-rating. Such events have historically been popular among retail and speculative traders.

The ETF could be beneficial for DOGE to establish a stronger correlation with other crypto assets through a listing. It would also be a big step towards establishing Dogecoin’s emerging maturity in the market. As such, Dogecoin price may have increased volatility in the short term.

Triangle Formation Targets $1.20 Breakout Potential

Analyst Trader Tardigrade pointed out a triangle pattern on Dogecoin’s six-month chart, indicating a long-term triangle formation. His model projects a DOGE breakout target of $1.20 if the price breaks the upper trendline. The trend has been in development since 2021, and contracting price action has indicated consolidation before expansion.

Historically, bullish symmetrical triangles commonly form a rally continuation pattern after the shift to buyer momentum. A breakout would be a new cycle phase after almost three years of sideways movement.

The lower trendline at $0.05 remains the key support, or the base of the accumulation zone. Moving above $0.35 would signal early strength. Analysts believe that if altcoins break out above the triangle’s top line, renewed investor confidence and general rotation among alts could be expected.

If momentum can continue above $0.40, then the $1.20 level can be a medium-term objective for bulls. This scenario aligns with the growing optimism surrounding developments in ETFs.

Trend Breakout Signals 300% Upside in Long Setup

Another market analyst, Javon Marks, pointed out that Dogecoin price is still above its previous resistance trendline. His chart has an upside target of $0.6533, representing a nearly 300% increase from the current levels.

The analysis showed a string of higher lows since mid-2023, the classic sign of building accumulation pressure. Marks stated that as long as DOGE persists in its breakout pattern, momentum could build during future sessions.

In addition, the structure represents the realization of a completed bearish pattern that is now evolving into a potential support. Historically, rallies after similar breakouts after prolonged compression are far longer than the impulse move of the initial breakout. The bullish structure suggests a potential range for Dogecoin’s price, testing the zone of $0.40-$0.65 before consolidation.

A retest of $0.20 is still possible, but if the retest holds above the zone, then the bullish structure is intact. If the ETF news is confirmed technical, it can enhance market participation and result in more robust follow-through.

Short-Term Resistance Caps Gains Despite Bullish Setup

CW analyst offered a near-term view, providing a strong sell wall at $0.175. His one-hour chart revealed heavy liquidity resistance, which has capped recent price gains. The current DOGE price is around $0.166, and the security is trading beneath the resistance zone.

The short-term rejection bands represent temporary exhaustion before a potential retest. A clean break above $0.175 will pave the path to $0.25 if there is a significant increase in buying pressure. However, continued rejection at this level can weigh down short-term momentum.

Even with recent near-term sell-offs, DOGE price continues to build higher lows on the longer time frames. This move follows the overall bullish narrative of other analysts.
