Will XRP Price Rally 790% as Deleveraging Echoes 2024 Breakout Setup?

XRP is going through another leverage reset on Binance, with futures activity falling toward recent lows. The estimated leverage ratio now stands at 0.16, just above the April 2026 low of 0.15. XRP price trades near $1.10 after correcting about 70% from its 2025 high. A similar leverage reset appeared in 2024 before XRP crypto later gained more than 790%. The current setup shares some features with that period, but the data does not confirm the same result.

XRP Crypto Binance Leverage Ratio Falls Near 2026 Low

CryptoQuant author Darkfost said XRP’s estimated leverage ratio on Binance now sits at 0.16. The metric compares leveraged futures positions with the amount of XRP held on the exchange. A lower reading shows that traders have reduced borrowed exposure across the futures market.

XRP’s ELR sits close to the April 2026 low of 0.15. That decline developed while XRP fell from its 2025 peak near $3.65. Liquidations and position closures reduced open interest. As traders closed futures positions, speculative exposure left the market, and the leverage ratio moved lower.

Lower leverage can reduce forced selling during sudden price moves. Heavy leverage often creates faster liquidations when prices turn against traders. The latest reset shows that much of the earlier futures buildup has cleared. However, the metric does not measure fresh spot demand.

XRP Price 2024 Reset Came Before a 790% Rally

Darkfost compared the current setup with XRP’s market structure in 2024. During that period, XRP traded near $0.40 and moved through a long consolidation. Binance’s estimated leverage ratio fell toward 0.05 as futures activity weakened. XRP later climbed more than 790% and traded above $3.60.

Leverage returned during that advance as traders reopened futures positions and open interest expanded. A repeat of that percentage move from $1.10 would place XRP near $9.80. That calculation shows scale only and does not provide a price forecast. The current ELR remains well above the 0.05 level recorded before the 2024 rally.

Market conditions differ from the earlier cycle. XRP price now trades from a higher base, while liquidity and trader positioning have changed. The comparison therefore, shows a similar deleveraging pattern rather than an identical breakout setup.

XRP Exchange Withdrawals Reach a Five-Month High

XRP holders are increasing withdrawals from major exchanges. CryptoQuant data shows that withdrawal transactions now outpace deposits on Coinbase, Binance, and Bybit. Coinbase recorded its strongest seven-day withdrawal trend since February. Binance withdrawals returned to levels last seen around the same period.

More withdrawals can show that users are moving tokens into private wallets. However, analyst Amr Taha said the figures count transactions rather than the amount of XRP transferred. The data therefore, reflects user behavior and not confirmed capital accumulation.

XRP price has stayed near $1.10 despite the rise in exchange outflows. The trend has not yet produced a clear price response. Stronger spot buying would need to appear before lower exchange activity supports a sustained advance.

The latest leverage decline shows that XRP’s futures market has removed a large amount of speculative exposure. That cleanup can support a more stable trading base when buyers return. However, lower leverage cannot create a rally without spot demand, stronger liquidity, and wider market support.

XRP’s Binance leverage ratio had fallen near the lower end of its 2026 range, indicating reduced derivatives exposure. Coinbase also recorded elevated withdrawal-dominant transaction activity, although the data measured transaction frequency rather than transferred volume. The indicators showed lower leverage and changing exchange behavior, but neither confirmed renewed spot demand or a repeat of XRP’s 2024 rally.

The latest leverage decline shows that XRP’s futures market has removed a large amount of speculative exposure. That cleanup can support a more stable trading base when buyers return. However, lower leverage cannot create a rally without spot demand, stronger liquidity, and wider market support.
