Ripple Prime Launches Delta One as XRP Holds Near $1.42

Ripple Prime has launched a Delta One business that expands its institutional prime-brokerage platform into equity derivatives. The new service enables hedge funds, asset managers, and other institutions to trade total return swaps tied to U.S.-listed stocks, indices, and digital assets.

The launch extends Ripple Prime beyond its existing services in foreign exchange, derivatives, fixed income, and crypto markets. It also adds another traditional-finance product to Ripple’s broader push into institutional market infrastructure.

Ripple News: Prime Brokerage Expands Into Equity Derivatives

Ripple Prime’s Delta One business enables institutional clients to execute Total Return Swaps linked to U.S.-listed stocks, market indices, and digital assets. The product allows investors to gain exposure to underlying assets without directly holding them.

The new service expands Ripple Prime’s role beyond crypto-focused infrastructure. The platform already provides prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services across multiple markets, including digital assets, FX, derivatives, and fixed income products.

Through the Delta One desk, clients can manage different exposures through one counterparty relationship. Ripple Prime also offers cross-margining capabilities across supported asset classes, allowing institutions to manage collateral requirements across their trading activities.

Noel Kimmel, President of Ripple Prime, said, “Clients can now access equities, FX, derivatives, fixed income, and digital asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing all through a single counterparty that is built for the future of finance: cross-asset, structurally aligned, 24/7.”

Ripple Prime also emphasized its execution model, stating that the Delta One business operates separately from market-making and proprietary trading activities. This structure focuses on clearing and financing services for institutional clients.

Ripple Prime Targets Institutional Trading Demand

The launch comes as financial institutions continue expanding their exposure across traditional markets and digital assets. Total Return Swaps remain a common instrument for institutions seeking synthetic exposure, portfolio management flexibility, and customized investment strategies.

Ripple Prime’s Delta One offering covers equities, indices, and cryptocurrencies within the same platform. The service supports different investment horizons, risk requirements, and reporting needs for institutional customers.

The brokerage platform recently completed a $275 million private placement of senior unsecured notes. According to Ripple news, the capital will support continued expansion, including investments in technology and operations.

The company also secured a $200 million debt facility earlier in the year from funds managed by Neuberger Specialty Finance.

XRP Price Tracks Ripple Expansion Developments

XRP price has come back into focus after Ripple Prime expanded its services into equity derivatives. The move has brought fresh attention to Ripple’s wider push into financial markets, while traders continue to watch how XRP price responds to the latest developments.

The XRP price recently recovered above $1.40 after earlier selling pressure. At the time of writing, the token was trading near $1.42, up 8% a week, with resistance at $1.50. A stronger barrier remains near $1.70, where additional selling pressure could appear.

Ripple whale activity has also picked up. Large XRP holders have moved around 460 million tokens into accumulation, marking their biggest inflow since February.

XRP-linked ETFs have also attracted fresh attention. Recent data showed millions of dollars flowing into these investment products, suggesting that institutional demand for XRP remains firm.

XRP Price Remains Above Key Moving Averages

Technical data cited on Aug. 27 placed XRP above several major exponential moving averages. The 50-day EMA stood near $1.17, the 100-day EMA around $1.20, and the 200-day EMA near $1.35.

XRP trading above all three keeps the broader technical structure constructive after the August recovery.

The $1.50 region remains the immediate breakout level. A sustained move above it could bring $1.70 back into focus.

Failure to hold $1.40 would weaken that structure and increase the risk of a retest toward the 200-day EMA.

For now, Ripple Prime’s Delta One launch strengthens Ripple’s position in institutional finance, while XRP price remains driven by its own market structure, ETF flows, and whale activity.
