Analysts Reveal Ethereum Price Road to $3,000 If ETH Clears This Resistance

Ethereum price is trading near $2,492 as buyers continue testing an important resistance zone above the current market price. At press time, the ETH price had soared to trade at $2511, a 1.61% jump from the intra-day low of $2441.

The cryptocurrency traded between $2,441 and $2,518, with traders closely watching the $2,500 area. Consequently, analysts have identified $2,550 as the primary weekly resistance level that could shape Ethereum’s next major move.

A weekly close above $2,550 could strengthen the current bullish price structure. Analysts said such a move could open a path toward $2,800 and then $3,000.

Ethereum Price Tests Key Weekly Resistance

Ethereum is trading close to its 50-week simple moving average while approaching resistance near $2,550. That level has become an important reference for traders this month.

Analysts said ETH needs a decisive weekly close above $2,550 before stronger upside targets become more relevant. A confirmed breakout could place $2,800 as the next resistance area.

The $3,000 level would then become a key psychological target if buying pressure continues. However, ETH remains below $2,550, so the breakout has not been confirmed.

On the downside, analysts are watching the $2,380 to $2,400 zone as the first support area. A loss of that range could increase pressure on the current structure.

Ethereum could then move toward major support near $2,185. Another lower support level sits around $1,965 if selling pressure expands.

Spot Ethereum ETFs Record Net Outflows

U.S. spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded combined net outflows of $24.2921 million on September 8, according to SoSoValue data.

The outflows came as Ethereum continued consolidating below its main weekly resistance. However, flows differed across individual funds during the session.

Fidelity’s FETH recorded net inflows of about $9.8924 million despite the broader ETF outflow. The data showed that demand remained mixed across available Ethereum products.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs also recorded net outflows of $46.6464 million on September 8. That ended three consecutive trading days of net inflows for Bitcoin funds.

ETF flows remain one factor traders monitor alongside price action and market liquidity. Ethereum’s ability to hold support may remain important during periods of weaker fund demand.

Liquidity Data Shows $2,600 Cluster Above ETH

Market liquidity data shows that much of Ethereum’s nearby upside liquidity has already been cleared. A smaller liquidity cluster remains around the $2,600 area.

That cluster could become relevant if ETH breaks above $2,550 and maintains momentum. Traders often watch liquidity zones because concentrated positions can attract price activity.

Larger long-side liquidity reportedly remains between $1,800 and $2,200. Additional liquidity clusters have also been identified near the $1,500 region.

However, the current technical structure remains focused on levels closer to the market price. The $2,380 support and $2,550 resistance are the nearest major levels.

Ethereum Upgrade Adds Longer-Term Network Focus

Another catalyst for an ETH price rally is that Ethereum developers have also moved EIP-8141, known as “Frame Transactions,” to “Scheduled for Inclusion” for the planned 2027 Hegotá upgrade.

The proposal could allow users to complete transactions without holding ETH directly for gas payments. Wallets could collect stablecoins while sponsors pay required ETH fees.

Ethereum would still settle base-layer gas fees in ETH under this system. The change would as a result, alter user experience rather than Ethereum’s fee settlement asset.

In addition, the EIP-8141 also introduces transaction frames for authorization, fee payment, and execution. The structure supports account abstraction and more flexible wallet security features, which may trigger an ETH price jump.

However, for the near term, a weekly close above $2,550 remains the main technical trigger watched for a move toward $3,000. However, as per crypto analyst Ted, losing $2,400 could expose ETH to an 8%-10% decline from current levels.
