Bitcoin price held near $78,000 after a difficult week for spot demand. BTC remained below $80,000 as ETF outflows and derivatives selling continued to limit the latest recovery.
Still, Bitcoin has avoided a deeper breakdown. On-chain capital measures have improved, while price continues testing important short-term and weekly technical levels.
A separate miner indicator tracked by 10x Research has also flashed a buy signal. Its limited historical record has leaned positive, though previous signals have not always led to gains.
Bitcoin Capital Inflows Recover as BTC Holds Range
Bitcoin capital inflows have started to recover after weakening through much of 2026. The Realized Cap Change indicator has risen to 0.98, moving back above the neutral area. The measure fell below zero earlier this year as capital left the market.
The latest increase points to fresh capital entering Bitcoin at a time when price still trades well below previous cycle highs. This differs from the sharp inflow periods seen in late 2024 and early 2025. Those periods pushed the indicator much higher as BTC moved through stronger upward trends.

Current conditions look more measured. Capital inflows have returned, but the indicator has not reached the levels recorded during earlier rallies. BTC crypto has also held near $78,000 despite continued selling across spot and perpetual markets.
ETF outflows add another source of pressure. However, Bitcoin has not followed those flows with a deeper breakdown. Instead, buyers continue to absorb supply inside the established trading range.
BTC Tests a Short-Term Range Break
Bitcoin has also pushed above the upper boundary of its recent short-term range. BTC traded near $77,700 after moving through an area around $77,400 that had limited earlier recovery attempts.
Market analyst BitBull said Bitcoin is trying to flip its short-term trend. Price now needs to hold above the former range boundary for the structure to strengthen. A move back below that area would place BTC inside the previous consolidation again.

The hourly structure also shows how quickly sellers can return. Bitcoin price briefly surged toward $79,300 on September 11 before reversing most of the move. Trading volume increased sharply during that session, showing active participation around the breakout attempt.
A larger resistance area sits close to $79,800. BTC would need additional buying pressure to reach that zone and sustain a move above it. Until then, the market continues to trade within a broader range.
Weekly EMA Keeps Pressure on BTC Crypto
Bitcoin faces a separate test on the weekly chart. BTC recently closed below its 50-week exponential moving average, which now sits above the current market area. That close changed the technical structure after the average previously acted as support.
The current weekly candle is attempting to reclaim the 50-week EMA. BTC crypto sustained recovery above the average would reduce the immediate pressure from the earlier breakdown. However, a rejection could turn the EMA into resistance and keep sellers active.

Rekt Capital noted that an upside wick followed by a weekly close below the EMA would confirm a bearish retest. Bitcoin therefore needs more than an intraday move above the average. The weekly close will provide a clearer signal on whether buyers have regained that level.
A broader resistance zone also sits around $80,000 to $82,000. Bitcoin has struggled to establish weekly closes above this area during recent recovery attempts.
BTC Longer-Term Structure Still Holds
Bitcoin continues to hold well above the major lows recorded earlier in 2026. A longer-term trading setup identifies the $59,000 to $60,000 region as the first major swing area, while another level sits near $76,200. BTC price currently trades above both zones.

The same structure places another potential swing area near $85,000. That level would require Bitcoin to clear the current weekly resistance first. The setup then maps a much higher long-term target near $160,000, although current price action has not confirmed that path.
