BTC Price Is Near $100K: Analysts’ View On BTC Unrealized Profits
  • Bitcoin’s market value has increased to $2.08 trillion amid this bull run.
  • The BTC price has slipped below the $100K level after losing 2.32% in the past few hours.

Despite the recent price rally, Bitcoin‘s unrealized profits are still far below the peak levels observed in prior bull markets. The BTC price has been in a bullish trend and it continues to trade near the $100K hurdle.

Nevertheless, the charts also show indications of long-term holders selling; in the last month alone, 827,000 BTC have exchanged hands. What does this signify for the price of Bitcoin? Let’s find out.

Unrealized Profits of Bitcoin Remain Below Bull Market Highs

Bitcoin’s unrealized profits at current prices remain lower than they were during previous bull runs. Long-term holders have been exhibiting the action of relinquishing ever since market rallies have continued.

According to data from recent observations, the ratio of unrealized profit for long-term Bitcoin holders is still below the highest points observed in previous market cycles. It might indicate that Bitcoin has yet not reached its peak.

The chart now clearly shows a trend comparing the price of Bitcoin with unrealized profits. In the past, unrealized profits have risen to unprecedented heights during up-and-down cycles right before the market peaked.

However, the unrealized profits for the current cycle have increased steadily, even though they are still far below the euphoric levels of 2013, 2017, and 2021. It indicates the current price rally of Bitcoin is still far from reaching its peak and there is still some hope for the rally.

Long-term Bitcoin holders continue to hold, demonstrating their faith in the cryptocurrency’s future growth. The absence of significant sell-offs close to market tops further supports this view.

Could Bitcoin Price Hold the $100K Mark?

When writing, the BTC price was trading at $99,650.00 with an intraday loss of 1.50% over the past 24 hours. Its market capitalization was $2.08 trillion, and it ranked 1st in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin’s 24-hour trading volume was $57.18 billion, which has increased by 46%.

The price of Bitcoin started trading just below the $100K mark by losing 2.32% in the last few hours. If the price holds below the $100K level, it could tempt sellers. Suppose the price sustains below this level, a profit booking scenario can be generated. Here, profit booking could drag the price down to the major support level of $90K.

If the BTC price bounces back and holds over the $100K level, it could be a buying signal. Since mid-November, the momentum has slowed down. Suppose the price forms a bullish marubozu candlestick, a decent rally can be anticipated.

BTC Price Analysis and Forecast

While the BTC price is currently experiencing a rally, its unrealized profits remain significantly lower than the peaks seen in prior bull markets. It suggests there may still be potential for growth as long-term holders continue to demonstrate confidence by maintaining their positions rather than selling off near market tops.

The recent trading near the $100K mark presents a critical moment. If the price of Bitcoin sustains this level, it could indicate bullish momentum and encourage further buying. Conversely, falling below this threshold may trigger profit-taking and push the price down toward $90K.

Overall, the market shows mixed signals, but the current conditions hint at the possibility of further upward movement if key levels are maintained.
