Press Releases Policy
Press Releases Policy
The Market Periodical publishes press releases from companies, projects, and organisations operating across the financial markets we cover. This policy explains how press releases are handled and how they differ from TMP editorial content.
How Press Releases Are Labelled
Every press release published on this site is labelled PRESS RELEASE at the top of the page, prominently and before the body text begins. This label is non-negotiable. Press releases are not presented as TMP journalism, analysis, or editorial opinion, and readers should treat them accordingly.
What a Press Release Is Not
A press release published on themarketperiodical.com is a direct-to-audience communication from the issuing company. It is not fact-checked, verified, or endorsed to the standard we apply to our own reporting. TMP does not independently corroborate claims made in press releases, does not vouch for the accuracy of figures or projections contained within them, and does not endorse the products, services, or projects described.
Submission and Handling
Press releases may be submitted by PR agencies, communications teams, or company representatives. On receipt, our team reviews submissions for the following:
- Basic formatting and length standards
- Obvious factual errors that would harm readers (e.g., incorrect regulatory status)
- Content that falls into categories we do not publish — see below
Passing this review means a press release meets our publication threshold, not that TMP endorses or validates its content.
What We Will Not Publish
- Token presale or ICO/IDO announcements
- Price prediction or guaranteed-return claims
- Content from projects under active regulatory enforcement action or with a credible fraud history
- Content that contains demonstrably false statements about third parties
Corrections
If a press release contains a factual error that is brought to our attention after publication, we will add a correction notice to the press release page. The issuing company is responsible for the accuracy of its own releases.
