- HEX price has surged after a period of stagnation.
- Legal challenges against Richard Heart cast a shadow over the project.
- Some on-chain metrics show positive developments, but social media activity has declined.
HEX (HEX), an ERC-20 token launched by Richard Heart in 2019, experienced a dramatic price journey. HEX price peaked at $0.51 before plummeting to an all-time low of $0.000830.
However, HEX has recovered, trading at $0.003579 following a surge in September. This rebound suggested a potential bullish trend after stagnation in the first three quarters of 2024. There, HEX showed little to no movement.
Despite this resurgence, questions about the legitimacy of HEX and PulseChain persist. The suspicion becomes more crucial given the bearer’s tarnished image amid legal issues with the SEC. These legal challenges faced before cast a shadow of doubt over the future of this project.
For investors, it’s crucial to consider both the recent price movements and the legal context. The revival of HEX crypto might indicate a renewed interest. However, the further continuation of legal issues could impact its long-term viability.
Let’s delve into some statistics and data to provide a clearer picture for potential investors.
The Troubled History of the HEX & Richard Heart
Once peaking at $0.51 in September 2021, the HEX price has since plummeted. It marked a staggering decline of over 99% from its peak value.
The situation worsened in July 2023 when the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against Richard Heart. They accused him of violating federal securities laws and defrauding investors of at least $12 Million.

The SEC alleged that Heart misappropriated investor funds for personal luxury purchases. Instead, the funds should have been used to develop or promote the HEX token.
Among these purchases was a 555-carat black diamond known as ‘The Enigma,’ reportedly the largest black diamond in the world.
A Youtuber Stated HEX Is Not A Scam
A content creator on YouTube discussed the perception that HEX crypto operates like a Ponzi scheme. He mentioned that the funds from new investors are used to pay returns to earlier investors, effectively scamming the newcomers.

The content creator, Armstrong, pointed out that Heart made a valid distinction between scams and Ponzi schemes. He suggested that not all Ponzi schemes are fraudulent.

What’s Ahead In the HEX Price?
The HEX price action chart indicated that the token is approaching a resistance level. The daily chart has found support at the 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day EMA bands, but resistance is imminent.

If the HEX price successfully breaks through this resistance, the next targets could be $0.006105 and $0.007800. However, if it fails to breach the resistance, it may fall back towards its all-time low.
