  • Breaking a three-week inflow streak, a $147M net outflow was seen last week, and digital asset investment products noticed this.
  • Amid this rising interest rate concern, Bitcoin and Ethereum have funds registered outflows of $159M and $28.9M, respectively.
  • For the 16th week in a row, multi-asset cryptocurrency products saw gains of $29.4 Million.

A significant change was made to the global investment landscape in cryptocurrencies last week. The three-week inflow was wiped out last week with a $147M crypto outflow. The crypto investment products claimed this.

The digital currency exchange noticed a massive outflow of Bitcoin funds of $159 Million. On the other hand, Ethereum recorded outflows of $28.90 million.

The rumor of higher interest rates has impacted the market momentum, as per James Butterfill. He is also the Head of Research at CoinShares.

“Last week’s stronger-than-expected economic data reduced the likelihood of significant rate cuts; this is probably the cause of the lower investor sentiment,” Butterfill continued.

Consequently, outflows from the U.S., Hong Kong, and Germany amounted to $209 Million, $8.3 Million, and $7.3 Million, respectively.

What Are The Regional Impacts on Crypto Fund Flows?

Interestingly, a regional analysis of fund flows reveals that the effect is not just a simple global trend. Canada and Switzerland saw net outflows, while the U.S., Germany, and Hong Kong saw net inflows.

These two nations saw inflows of $43 Million and $34.9 Million, respectively. It demonstrated the local confidence in the potential for profit from digital asset investment.

Some investment products remain popular. This provided access to a diversified basket of cryptocurrencies even during a $147M crypto outflow. The inflows have maintained their streak for the past 16 weeks, with last week’s inflow of $29.4 Million.

Since June, investments in these products have come to about $431 Million, or 10% of the assets managed by global cryptocurrency funds.

Furthermore, the sustained interest over an extended period indicated a strategic shift in investors’ investing methodology. It attracts diversified cryptocurrency investment products.

Such products reduce risk through diversification. These are suitable for investors with a favorable outlook on the overall crypto market. However, still worried about the high risk of investing in certain coins.

These types of products lower the risk through diversification. These are appropriate for investors who are optimistic about the cryptocurrency market as a whole. However, it is still wary of the significant risk of holding particular coins.

Can Bitcoin Price Record a New All-time High (ATH) During Uptober Rally?

The crypto community predicts a bullish forecast during the negative total funds inflow in cryptocurrencies. History has witnessed bullish momentum in cryptocurrencies since 2014, and most analysts expect a new ATH will be in October.

Factors such as the stabilization of Bitcoin spot Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) trading and anticipated increases in liquidity from potential rate cuts support the positive trend.

These elements might encourage an October rally that draws more interest and capital to Bitcoin. This could be pushing it to new all-time highs.

After a dip, the Bitcoin price has witnessed mild bullish momentum for the past few days. It has surpassed the key moving averages, which could invite buyers.

MACD and Signal Line have approached the positive territory, spreading bullish thoughts among buyers. The histograms have remained green, which could generate a bullish forecast.

When writing, Bitcoin traded at $62,252.00, which has remained neutral for the past 24 hours. The market capitalization was $1.23 Trillion, and the 24-hour trading volume was $26.83 Billion.

Despite the $147M crypto outflow, the signs point to a potential all-time high for Bitcoin.
