Michael Saylor, the Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy and a prominent Bitcoin advocate, has made another sensational Bitcoin news. Recently, he unveiled a concise yet powerful presentation tailored specifically for Microsoft’s Board of Directors, including CEO Satya Nadella.
Saylor shared the presentation publicly on platforms like YouTube and X. The three-minute pitch was delivered on December 1st and left a significant impression on the tech giant’s leadership.
In his address, Saylor made a compelling case for Microsoft to adopt Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset. The presentation highlights the substantial long-term benefits it could bring to the company.
Within 44 slides, he outlined a bold vision for how Bitcoin could transform Microsoft’s financial strategy and strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Saylor Explains Why Microsoft Should Adopt BTC
Michael Saylor unveiled a comprehensive plan to Microsoft’s board, explaining how Bitcoin could drive growth for the tech giant.
According to his analysis, integrating Bitcoin into Microsoft’s strategy could potentially increase its stock value by as much as $584 per share over the next decade.

Michael Saylor proposed an ambitious Bitcoin investment strategy to Microsoft’s board. It suggests that the company redirected its treasury, debt, cash flows, dividends, and share buyback funds toward Bitcoin. This strategy could unlock staggering shareholder value, according to Saylor.
Assuming, based on the growth witnessed so far, that Bitcoin price will reach $1.7 Million per coin by 2034. Saylor estimated this approach could add $4.9 Trillion to Microsoft’s market value.
The presentation highlighted how such a move could position Microsoft as a financial powerhouse. Microsoft would leverage Bitcoin’s growth potential to generate unparalleled returns for its shareholders by 2034.
Currently, Microsoft stock (NASDAQ: MSFT) has risen 15% year-to-date, trading at $423.46, and boasts a $3.18 Trillion market cap. It is ranked the world’s third most valuable company, behind Apple and Nvidia.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin price has surged 118% this year, which has also jumped 38% in the past month alone, to approach the $100,000 mark, according to Google Finance data.
Since 2020, MicroStrategy (MSTR), under Saylor’s leadership, has invested heavily in Bitcoin.
Today, Michael Saylor announced (on X) Microstrategy’s purchase of 15,400 BTC for around $1.5 Billion at $95,976 per BTC. Microstrategy now holds 402,100 BTC at an average price of $58,263 per BTC. At press time, BTC was hovering around the $95,610.80 mark.

MicroStrategy (MSTR) has experienced an impressive 465.5% surge in its stock value so far in 2024. This spike was driven by the soaring worth of its Bitcoin holdings. As of November 20th, MSTR peaked at $473.83, according to Google Finance.
In his presentation, Michael Saylor emphasized Bitcoin’s transformative potential as a form of digital capital.
One particularly striking projection in Saylor’s presentation is that Bitcoin could become one of the largest assets globally. BTC could capture $280 Trillion of global wealth within the next two decades. If that happens, it would surpass the combined value of Gold and Art, which are estimated at $45 Trillion and $110 Trillion, respectively.

He further pointed out that since MicroStrategy began investing in Bitcoin, its stock has skyrocketed by 3,045%, compared to Microsoft’s 103% increase during the same period. Microsoft is one of the “Magnificent Seven” tech giants.
Slide 18 of Saylor’s presentation, titled “Superior Performance Requires Bitcoin”, underscored the critical role Bitcoin could play in driving exceptional financial outcomes. This implies BTC is turning into a key asset for sustained growth and competitive advantage.

In the 17th slide, he even said that Bitcoin is vital and bonds are toxic. He explained that till November 27th, 2024, bonds had performed negatively (-19%), while Bitcoin had 48% in performance returns.
How Saylor’s Strategy Would Benefit Microsoft
Michael Saylor’s presentation detailed a strategy for Microsoft to redirect its capital distributions into Bitcoin investments. This approach, he argued, could significantly lower the company’s enterprise value at risk.
Bitcoin would reduce enterprise value at risk from 95% to 59% while boosting annual returns from 10.4% to an impressive 15.8%.

In his presentation, Saylor distinguished Bitcoin as a “commodity, not a company,” emphasizing its unique advantage as a treasury asset. Unlike traditional holdings, Bitcoin’s value isn’t tied to the performance or stability of any single entity. This aligns with a growing trend among corporations to adopt uncorrelated assets for improved risk management, Saylor explained.
He also highlighted the rising public and political support for Bitcoin, describing it as part of a “crypto renaissance.” Saylor referenced pro-crypto remarks from President-elect Donald Trump and major Wall Street firms’ introduction of Bitcoin investment products as evidence of this momentum.
The slides read-
“ What if you could buy a $100 billion company growing at 60% per year at 1x Revenue?
What if this company was more profitable than your own?
What if you could easily keep doing this every year, forever?
Bitcoin is the universal, perpetual, profitable merger partner.”
Saylor proposed that Microsoft allocate $100 Billion annually to Bitcoin, arguing that it’s a smarter financial strategy than stock buybacks or holding bonds. “Investing in Bitcoin makes more sense,” he asserted in his presentation, which he shared on YouTube.
Saylor argued that embracing Bitcoin could propel Microsoft’s market capitalization into uncharted territory, potentially adding trillions in value.
With growing government initiatives and market innovations driving broader Bitcoin adoption, Saylor urged tech leaders like Microsoft to take the lead in this digital transformation. He emphasized that early adoption could accelerate growth and mitigate investment risks.
“It’s time for Microsoft to evaluate its Bitcoin strategic options,” Saylor said. “Do the right thing for your customers, employees, shareholders, the country, the world, and your legacy,”
Microsoft Faces Key Decision: Bitcoin or Traditional Financial Strategies
The Microsoft board will inevitably have to choose whether to adopt Bitcoin or continue with traditional financial strategies. The technology giant has long-held investments in bonds and other traditional instruments.
In terms of financial outcomes, the board has two distinct paths. They could choose regression by divesting $100 Billion annually, a move likely to heighten investor risk and hinder growth.
Alternatively, they could opt for progression by investing the same amount in Bitcoin each year, a strategy designed to reduce investor risk and drive accelerated growth.
