- Dogecoin price faced bearish pressure and slipped to the $0.300 support zone.
- A $149M DOGE transfer raises questions about potential market moves.
After a significant decline over the weekend, the Dogecoin price has taken a breather and stabilized near the support zone of $0.3000. However, it has remained neutral following a whale transfer.
Notably, a whale transfer of over $149 Million raised speculation in the market. At press time, the DOGE price traded at $0.3189, noting an intraday decline of over 0.80%. Its market cap dropped to $47.02 Billion, ranking 7th among the top crypto coins.
A Look at the Whale Transfer
On December 30th, blockchain transaction tracker Whale Alert noted via X that a crypto whale had transferred 466,890,148 tokens. That was worth $149 Million. The transfer happened from an unknown wallet to an unknown wallet.

On the positive side, such large movements can be attributed to institutional investors. As whales enter the market, signs of long-term investment in the asset show.
Besides, these funds may be staked for liquidity or distributed across multiple wallets. That can mean a higher level of decentralization of holding patterns. It could result in a plus for the Dogecoin community.
However, there are also bearish scenarios associated with this scenario. The transfer may be a sell signal if it is towards the exchanges. This could have a bearish effect on the Dogecoin price.
Instead, when there are movements to cold storage wallets, they can indicate more long-term investments. It also points to decreased supply in circulation, meaning less trading going on in the short term.
Analyst Predicts Dogecoin Price to Rally 6770%: Here’s the Take
In a recent post on X, prominent crypto analyst Ali Martinez guided a bullish stance on the Dogecoin price. He mentioned that a massive rally could be seen if the token followed the trend.

He said the DOGE price has been trading within an ascending parallel channel. If it continues to follow ahead, it could rally by another 6770% in the long term. Moreover, Trader Tardigrade said that the DOGE price faced significant manipulation and held above the support level.

This kind of price action was previously seen in August 2024. Similarly, this time, the Dogecoin price could resume upward and proceed toward the $1 mark in the short term.
Despite the bearish sentiments, investors have gained interest and remained confident in Dogecoin. The data from BitInfoCharts evidenced that.

Active addresses data noted a rise of over 1.90% over the past 24 hours, soaring to 72.39k at press time. This replicated the rising investor interest and could fuel potential upward movement in the coming days.
Futures Market Data Outlook
Adding to the aforementioned bullish on-chain data, further analysis of the Long/Short ratio from Coinglass signified a bullish outlook.

The data shows that 63% of positions on Dogecoin are now long. On the other hand, shorts have decreased to 47%, suggesting a potential bullish continuation trend.
Moreover, the OI-weighted funding rate remained positive at 0.0052%. It conveyed steady demand for long contracts. The immediate support zones for the DOGE price were $0.3000 and $0.2800. At the same time, the resistance zones were $0.3360 and $0.3500.
