XRP stunned the market with a triple-digit rally over the past year. Now, a new bold price target has emerged: $12. But is this a realistic target, and what factors could drive it there? Let’s take a closer look.
XRP keeps pushing higher

Over the past year, the XRP price has rallied by more than 330%. It climbed from $0.53 last year to $2.30 on May 29th. April alone saw a 40% rally, beating out most major cryptos and pulling fresh attention to the XRP Ledger.
Ledger activity continues to pick up, with over 1 million payments in just one week in May. That’s a sign that users are utilizing the network, not just trading and speculating about its prospects.
XRP is now getting pulled deeper into real-world use. Dubai’s Land Department is building a real estate tokenization system directly on the XRP Ledger. Meanwhile, a new $10 million XRP lending platform is also on the way, focused on serving public companies with fast, low-cost loans.
Active addresses have dropped slightly since March, but the future looks bright. It is so bright that some analysts are throwing out $10, even $12 XRP price predictions for this year.
XRP price forecast: Is $12 likely?
Could XRP hit $12 in 2025? Currently, most mainstream forecasts land between $3 and $8, with technical models and recent momentum backing that range.
But others are more aggressive. Alpha Lions Academy’s Edoardo Farina believes $10 is “highly possible” by year-end, especially if institutional demand and ETF inflows take off.

The $12 prediction comes from commentator Crypto Insight UK. A bullish RSI divergence on the XRP/BTC chart suggests strong upward momentum. Other technical factors indicate a potential aggressive XRP price surge.
Ripple’s Hiden Road acquisition and RLUSD stablecoin growth add strong fundamentals. The potential for an XRP spot ETF further supports bullish sentiment. Crypto Insight believes these technical and narrative factors could drive XRP much more.
It’s ambitious, with XRP needing a market cap over $700 billion (from its current circulating supply) to hit that mark. But, momentum, adoption, and timing could take XRP there.
Remittix stakes its claim in the crypto payments space
As XRP heats up, attention is growing in the wider crypto payments space, and that’s where Remittix comes in. While XRP builds infrastructure for tokenized finance, Remittix is creating a full-stack platform that turns crypto into real-world money.
Users can convert over 100 cryptocurrencies to fiat instantly. They can send the cash directly to bank accounts worldwide without hidden fees.
Remittix’s API and merchant tools help businesses accept crypto payments. They also enable easy fiat settlements with native blockchain support. The project just revealed its mobile wallet UI, with a beta launching in Q3 2025 and full rollout soon after.
It’s secured over $15.4 million in presale, with nearly 20,000 investors locked in and two-thirds of tokens gone. If XRP’s rise sparks a wider rally in crypto payments, the RTX token could blow its gains out of the water.
XRP and beyond: Eyes on crypto payments this year
Talk of an XRP breakout, whether to $12 or not, has put crypto payments back in the spotlight. XRP is a giant, with limited upside, while Remittix has everything to gain. Real-world tools, clear use cases, and serious development underway—it’s all there.
2025 will be a pivotal year for both of these tokens. Keep watching.
