Can XLM Price Break Resistance and Hit $2 After PYUSD and PayFi Integration?

Key Insights:

  • XLM price forms a bullish wedge and a pending buy signal with targets at $0.50 and $2.00.
  • Stellar awaits NYDFS approval for PYUSD launch across a 170+ country network.
  • The PayFi model will enable on-chain, real-time financing of SMBs, further enhancing the utility of Stellar.

Stellar (XLM) is attracting renewed market attention as bullish signals form across both charts and fundamentals. A regulatory catalyst may soon activate, with the network positioned to onboard PayPal’s PYUSD stablecoin across its global infrastructure.

XLM Price Action Teases Breakout as Buy Signal Builds

At press time, XLM price traded at $0.25, down 6% over the past 24 hours, despite a surge in daily volume of $345 million. The price action displayed a falling trend within the 1st half of June, but there is a possibility of a reversal pattern developing. The intraday chart on CoinMarketCap indicates a steady pressure, though exhaustion is evident at the lower end of the channel.

Technical analyst Jesse Olson shared a chart with a pending buy signal using a multi-indicator strategy on the 1D timeframe. His configuration emphasized a group of profitable buy entries in the form of a descending wedge.

The most recent candle suggests bullish divergence could trigger a move upward, especially if XLM price breaks above the $0.28-$0.30 resistance zone.

Further, Crypto Dream highlighted an emerging bull flag formation. His chart identified a clean breakout formation developing over a falling wedge. The breakout indicated that $0.50 is considered a crucial resistance area. In case it breaks, the momentum may stretch to $0.70, and even $2.00 in a full extension, which corresponds to prior cycle tops.

PYUSD Integration Could Redefine Global Remittances

The potential launch of PYUSD on the Stellar network is more than just another stablecoin deployment. It is a structural deepening of the management of cross-border finance and small business liquidity. With Ethereum and Solana already supporting PYUSD, Stellar brings something different to the table, global reach and real-time performance.

The current infrastructure of Stellar is available in more than 170 countries and it enables integrations with local financial institutions and mobile money systems as well as fiat off-ramps. This makes the network perfectly viable in remittances and payments in emerging markets. The upcoming integration will leverage this infrastructure to deliver PYUSD liquidity to end-users, with a focus on near-zero fees and instant settlement.

What elevates this development is the introduction of PayFi, a model enabling SMBs to access real-time working capital in PYUSD. Liquidity providers will earn from real-world flows, not speculation. The outcome is an alignement of incentives system where businesses get credit and tokens holders get rewards connected to real business.

Regulatory Milestone in Play

According to PayPal’s May Zabaneh, PYUSD’s real strength lies in transforming cross-border settlement. The Stellar integration will expand the asset’s footprint significantly, pending final approval from the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).

Stellar has already secured preliminary approval. The final obstacle is regulatory approval to deploy fully. Once cleared, PYUSD will go live on Stellar, with integrations into wallets, remittance apps, and SMB financing tools.

Denelle Dixon, the CEO of the Stellar Development Foundation, also stressed the necessity to target the underserved communities: “We are making stable cryptocurrency available to people and small businesses in developing markets around the world.” Should it pass, this collaboration not only serves as a confirmation of the long-term vision Stellar has, but it may lead to a re-rating of the asset in the portfolios of investors.

There could be an effect of NYDFS approval that could be not be fully priced in. The regulatory narrative has been ignored during crypto rallies, yet it has a significant role in institutional capital unlocking. Enterprise users and fintech platforms may become inflows to the Stellar ecosystem once they are launched.

Market Repositioning for Macro Breakout

Despite current price weakness, XLM’s on-chain structure and macro narrative are shifting. There is 31.19B / 50B circulating, and a fully diluted valuation of $13.82 billion. With liquidity once again spinning back into mid-caps and an actual usefulness in the real world being a narrative force, Stellar is maybe in a better position than it has ever been.

Traders will be waiting to get validation above the $0.30 area, which will nullify the existing downtrend. Should volume be able to pick up on the breakout, then eyes will be headed to the $0.50 and $0.70 areas. Those levels not only act as a resistance level, but it is also a psychological level based on previous rally cycles.

Stellar is no longer speculative like other pumps in the past because it has now found an anchor in utility, cross-border efficiency, and regulated stablecoin infrastructure. The development could result in a more sustainable and a broader interest in institutions than just crypto-native traders.
