Amid a bullish Solana (SOL) sentiment, market analysts believe the coin could outperform Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
Chris Burniske, a Partner at venture capital firm Placeholder, noted that Solana is performing strongly relative to Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The discussions about the Solana price outlook coincide with a new achievement by Pump.Fun memecoin.
The SOL/ETH and SOL/BTC Shift
Chris highlighted in an X post that both the SOL/ETH and SOL/BTC trading pairs are tracking well over the past few days.
The surge in these trading pairs suggests Solana is gaining value relative to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Based on chart patterns, SOL is outperforming BTC and ETH in price appreciation.
Notably, the one-week candlestick chart for the SOL/ETH trading pair on OKX shows a long-term upward trend for SOL against ETH.
The 200-week exponential moving average (EMA) sits directly at the current 0.043 level, overlapping with the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement line of the previous cycle’s rally. This zone mirrors an earlier setup in mid-2024.

At the time, SOL/ETH mapped out a bottom at the 50-week EMA aligned with the 0.382 Fib retracement. That structure sparked a sharp 150% rebound that saw SOL hit its cycle high near 0.09 ETH.
Similarly, the 1-week candlestick chart for the SOL/BTC trading pair on Binance revealed a bullish technical setup.
Chris expects the bullish trend to continue in the weeks ahead, especially considering negative comments and sentiments surrounding SOL.
Pump.Fun Claims 90% Revenue of Solana Memecoin Launchpad
Meanwhile, Pump.fun, has regained its status as the largest memecoin launchpad on Solana over the past week.
Notably, Pump.fun outperformed all other Solana meme launchpads in weekly revenue.
Between August 18 and 24, 2025, Pump.fun recorded revenue of $8,173,504 million. This figure is about 90% of the $9,178,353 total revenue generated by all other meme launchpads that week.

BAGS, another Solana memecoin launchpad, came behind with a total revenue of $357,856, followed by Meteora with $146,996.
The ability to recapture market share highlights Pump.fun’s robust user base and appeal to top memecoin deployers.
Also, Pump.fun’s revenue growth comes from increasing token creation. Over the past week, 144,728 tokens were created using Pump.fun’s infrastructure.
Moreover, the 90% revenue share signals a strong recovery from earlier losses to competitors like Bonk.fun. Pump.fun started losing ground to Bonk.fun in late July.
This shift followed weekly buybacks by LetsBONK, a meme launchpad supporting BONK.
These buybacks channeled 1% of platform revenue over $15,000 into purchasing BONK tokens, enhancing broader Solana liquidity and ecosystem strength.
Solana Price Outlook
Currently, Solana is underperforming behind Bitcoin and Ethereum. Over the past 24 hours, SOL has decreased by 3.5% to $198.
Conversely, Bitcoin has fallen 1.9%, while ETH dropped 2.2% within the same timeframe.
Nevertheless, the value of SOL is still up more than 9% over the past week. The daily trading volume also jumped 88% to $14.3 billion, suggesting investors’ renewed interest.
Previously, crypto analysts forecasted that SOL could rally towards the $250 level. This prediction was supported by bullish indicators that identified $300 as a target this August.
In a more bullish prediction, onchain analyst Ali Martinez highlighted that SOL price could hit $360. The analyst anticipates a breakout towards the $200 mark to confirm the rally.
Besides the bullish technical indicators, expectations are high about the potential approval of a spot SOL exchange-traded fund (ETF). If approved this year, an SOL ETF would increase adoption for the coin, resulting in higher prices.
