Key Insights:
- Cardano price traded at around $0.8, and traders arbitrated a breakout.
- Analysts project a bullish run toward $4 or retesting of the support at $0.78.
- ADA price expectations are diverging with bulls and bears snarling around $0.80.
Cardano price is at a crossroads, with analysts positioning different projections in the next few weeks. Technical indicators show downside risks and reversal opportunities, and ADA price is in a divided position.
Whether sellers will dominate the short-term trend or buyers, it will depend on the balance between support and resistance.
Cardano Price Weakness Emerges
Analyst CryptoJobs indicated strong signals of declining momentum in the recent performance of Cardano price. The analyst indicated consistent selling pressure with lower highs being formed under a downward trendline.
This trend suggested that the purchasing power is having a hard time supporting rallies.
The most significant levels are at $0.780, $0.725, $0.685, and $0.762. If the downward momentum continues, those levels may be tested as the price movement becomes weak. Any close below $0.78 would strengthen the bearish position and allow losses up to the mid-$0.60 area.
Cardano price was trading at close to $0.83787 following a 3% decline over 24 hours. Trades are still showing increased selling business, and short-term indicators show pressure on buyers on various time scales.
Potential ADA Breakout Patterns Develop
On the other hand, Ssebi highlighted the risk of a breakout because ADA is consolidating in a falling wedge. It is frequently considered a reversal structure, and it can be followed by a price rally.

The determining level is the overhead resistance. ADA price could break through, and it may lead to $1 or more. In addition, some of the momentum indicators, like the Relative Strength Index, have stabilized. More so, moving averages are still offering solid support at around $0.80.
The wedge also exhibited loss of seller control because the retracements decreased in size with each attempt. In case of confirmation, fresh buying activity may lead to an increased rally phase. That may swing sentiment again in favor of the ADA bulls.
Long-Term Expansion Scenarios
Moving even further into the future, Mintern pointed out that in the next few months, Cardano price can grow substantially. With Elliott Wave structures, the forecast has placed Cardano in an A-B-C pattern that is corrective, and ADA price is currently in wave B.
This projection indicated a possible upside in the range of $3.10 to $4.14, supported by Fibonacci extensions. The market momentum may give ADA price the opportunity to go to these ranges before the cycle is over.

Even though this situation is more aggressive as compared to the short-term perspectives, it underlines the power of ADA in the long-term framework. However, this growth would need not just the continuity of retail traders but also an increase in institutional inflows to support volume.
On-Chain Activity and Regulatory Factors
On-chain developments and future milestones also influenced the wider debate. Data revealed that over $170 million of ADA was sold out of exchanges last week into self-custody. This lowers the liquid supply, which may address the tightening conditions if buying demand increases.
Besides that, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is also coming into the spotlight, with a deadline of October 26, 2025, to approve or disapprove the Grayscale Cardano Trust ETF.
Data provided by Polymarket indicates 87% approval probabilities, whereas analysts at Bloomberg point to 75%. The approval would enhance institutional access to Cardano and reinforce adoption trends in 2026.
