Massive changes are taking place in the XRP world. The market was just shaken by the XRP news of the two major events. First, millions of tokens were dumped by XRP whales.
Second, Canary’s XRP ETF appeared on the DTCC list. These incidents could alter the course of XRP crypto.
XRP News of Whales Moving 40 Million in XRP
Crypto analyst @ali_charts shared XRP news of massive token selling on X on September 11, 2025. He mentioned that more than 40 million XRP had been transferred to exchanges by XRP whales. At today’s prices, that is approximately $122 million.

All of these transfers took place in a single day. The whales are the large holders of cryptocurrencies. They typically intend to sell when they transfer coins to exchanges. The market is frequently frightened by this type of activity. When whales sell in bulk, prices may rapidly decline.
The price of the XRP crypto has fluctuated over the past day. Although there was a minor increase of +0.99%, there have been rallies and declines over the last day. The price fluctuated between $2.98, the 24-hour low, and $3.06, the high.
Massive Whale Dumping Incidents in August, too
This is not the first time whales have recently dumped this much XRP. These massive sales occasions took place many times in August 2025, too. Per XRP news from the previous month, in a single day on August 1, XRP whales released over 710 million XRP.

After that, whales dumped 470 million XRP in ten days. This event occurred from August 10 to August 20. At the time, these XRP crypto were worth more than $1.3 billion.
XRP dropped below the crucial $3.00 mark due to the August dump. In a matter of days, prices fell by 17%. While some analysts forecast a recovery, others cautioned about bearish momentum.
According to Elliott Wave models, XRP might hit $6 to $8 by the middle of 2026. This was forecasted by an analyst, Mr Xoom, on X in his September 2 post.

XRP news of August and September dumps are remarkably similar. Both occurred during significant developments in ETFs. Additionally, both caused brief price declines.
XRP News: Canary’s XRP ETF Listed by DTCC
Another silent event occurred while whales were selling. @RealAllinCrypto discovered a significant update on the same day as the September dump. The DTCC website featured Canary’s XRP and HBAR ETFs. XRPC and HBR are the names of these ETFs, respectively.

The acronym for Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation is DTCC. It manages U.S. securities clearing and settlement. An ETF is considered ready for trading when it appears on DTCC’s list. Although it’s not a complete approval, it’s a significant advancement.
The “standard process” includes listing on the DTCC website. It doesn’t mean the ETFs have completed other approval processes or obtained regulatory approval. This means Canary is getting ready to introduce its XRP ETF.
This is significant because ETFs facilitate conventional investors’ purchase of cryptocurrency. They can invest through a regulated fund rather than directly holding XRP crypto.
