Chainlink Price Tests Key Support as Grayscale GLNK ETF Expands Access

Chainlink price is consolidating near a major demand zone following weeks of downside pressure. Traders are looking at structural support as institutional exposure grows. The new GLNK product brings a new catalyst to the LINK market sentiment.

Chainlink Price Tests Key Support Structure

Chainlink price is trading around the $12.80 – $13.00 range after a long decline. This zone has served as repeated support for the past few sessions.

Nehal identified this area as a strategic buying area. He found entries that were between $12.83, $11.90, and $11.30. His stop level is just near $10.92, which coincides with deeper historical demand.

The chart illustrates that the LINK price has rebounded from consolidation zones that were established during mid-2024. Buyers had previously stood in this range during high-volume pullbacks.

Current price action indicates accumulating action rather than aggressive distribution. Several levels of horizontal support have clustered near $12.00. This makes the zone important for short-term stability.

Nehal mapped the layered upside targets at $14.10, $15.60, $17.20, $20.00, and $24.00. He also described prolonged holding zones between $30 and $40.

These projections are based on trend continuation and higher timeframe breakouts. He recommended getting scalp-hopped into positions and riding the bigger trend. Traders now follow the volume expansion for confirmation.

Trend Structure Indicates Weakness With Recovery Potential for Chainlink Price

Technical analysts point out a descending trendline controlling the LINK price action. CryptoWZRD showed that both LINK and LINKBTC closed slightly bearish on weekly timeframes.

He said that the weakness of Bitcoin continues to affect the performance of LINK. However, he also pointed to the recovery potential if LINKBTC shows strength.

CryptoWZRD noted $12.0o as the key support level. He called $12.80 a short-term pivot zone. Holding above this level is better for bullish potential.

A sustained move above $13.50 would provide good support to near-term structure. He cautioned that rejection around $13.50 might cause short opportunities.

Intraday charts are more indicative of choppy price behavior. Sharp moves were near the weekly close. This volatility implies uncertainty among the traders.

CryptoWZRD said to wait for better setups before going long on positions. He anticipates improvements in structure preceding stronger directional moves.

Despite weakness, the LINK price is still in a defined accumulation range. Buyers keep providing lower boundaries for defense. Sellers are still active near the trendline resistance.

This compression phase is often preceded by a period of volatility expansion. Traders now watch out for breakout or breakdown triggers.

Institutional Catalyst With GLNK ETF Launch

Meanwhile, Grayscale has opened the Chainlink Trust ETF under the ticker GLNK. The product is now available through normal brokerage accounts. This enables conventional investors to access the price exposure that comes with Chainlink without actually owning crypto.

The fund comes with a 0% management fee for the first three months or until the assets reach $1 billion. After this period, the fees increase to 0.35% per annum.

GLNK tracks the value of LINK held by the trust, less expenses. It trades during regular market hours like a stock. However, the product is not registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940.

This means it is not subject to the same regulation as traditional ETFs. However, Grayscale warned that the product has high volatility and high risk.

Despite these limitations, the launch increases institutional access to Chainlink. Many investors prefer regulating brokerage platforms over crypto exchanges.

GLNK eliminates risks from wallet management and private keys. This structural change lowers the barrier for traditional portfolios to enter the market. It shows rising demand for exposure to blockchain infrastructure.
