Solana price trades near $78 after recovering from its June low around $60. The latest move places SOL inside a heavy resistance zone between $76 and $85. Morgan Stanley has also updated its proposed spot Solana ETF, adding fresh details on fees, custody, and staking. The filing arrives as technical and on-chain data point to a possible trend change. Price direction now depends on whether buyers can clear nearby supply without losing key support.

Solana Price Eyes $85 Breakout With $60 as Key Support
Solana price has gained about 30% from its June bottom and now trades close to $77.97. The three-day chart has produced its first SuperTrend buy signal since October 10. The Average True Range trailing stop has moved below price, which marks a shift from the earlier bearish setup. The previous sell signal appeared before a 74% decline, so traders now watch the new crossover closely.

The first Solana price upside target sits near $85. A three-day close above that level could open a move toward $96 and $100. Stronger demand could then place $121 and $127 in view.
Near-term SOL crypto support sits around $74 to $75, where buyers defended the latest rebound. Losing that area would expose $70. A break below $60 would cancel the broader bullish outlook and increase the risk of a fall toward $53.
Morgan Stanley Updates MSOL Filing
Morgan Stanley filed another amended registration statement for its proposed Solana ETF on July 14. The product plans to trade on NYSE Arca under the ticker MSOL. The filing lists a 0.14% annual sponsor fee. Morgan Stanley also proposes staking up to 100% of the fund’s SOL holdings through selected service providers.
The original registration already described a passive fund that would track SOL while reflecting staking rewards. The proposed structure would give brokerage clients regulated SOL crypto exposure while allowing the trust to collect staking rewards on held tokens.
The updated documents name Figment, Galaxy Blockchain, and Coinbase Canada among the planned staking providers. Bank of New York Mellon and Coinbase Custody would handle custody services. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart said the latest Ethereum and Solana documents suggest a launch may be getting close. The SEC still needs to make the registration effective before the fund can begin trading.
SOL Crypto Exchange Supply Falls as Users Grow
Solana exchange reserves fell by about 100 million SOL between July 3 and July 11. The decline reduced the amount of SOL crypto available on trading platforms during the recent recovery. Lower exchange balances can limit immediate sell-side supply, although holders can move tokens back to exchanges at any time.

Network activity also expanded during the same period. About 1.4 million new addresses joined Solana over three weeks. The network count rose from roughly 6.8 million toward 8.4 million before leveling near the upper range. Solana price gains, lower exchange reserves, and address growth now support the technical recovery.
URPD data shows a large concentration of previously traded SOL between $76 and $85. Around 125 million SOL changed hands within that band. Holders who bought there may sell near their entry prices, which can slow the advance. SOL currently trades inside this supply area rather than above it.
Solana price close above $85 would remove the nearest volume barrier and strengthen the path toward $100. The next larger target sits near $127, where another historical supply area may appear. Failure to hold $70 would weaken the current structure.
