VanEck has added staking to its BNB ETF, giving the fund a new feature several months after its launch. The updated structure allows the ETF to stake most of its BNB holdings while keeping a reserve for redemptions. Binance Coin price has also moved above $775, with the token trading near $782 on the weekly chart. Traders are now watching whether BNB can hold the latest advance and move toward higher resistance levels.
BNB Price Holds Near $777 as ETF Staking Takes Shape
VanEck updated the investment objective of its spot BNB ETF to include staking as a secondary objective, according to a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The change follows VanEck Digital Assets’ second custody agreement with BitGo Bank & Trust, with Figment named as the validator for the staking activity.
The ETF plans to stake its BNB holdings apart from a reserve needed to meet redemptions. BNB Smart Chain currently applies a seven-day unbonding period when a committed position exits staking. During that period, the tokens cannot move and do not earn staking rewards.
The VanEck BNB ETF launched on Nasdaq in May 2026 as the first U.S. spot fund tracking BNB. The fund holds BNB through Anchorage Digital Bank and BitGo and carries a 0.39% sponsor fee. Investors can create or redeem shares through cash or in-kind transactions using baskets of 10,000 shares.
VanEck removed staking from the ETF proposal before the fund launched following regulatory questions around the treatment of staking rewards. The latest update adds the validator and custody arrangements needed for the ETF to operate the staking program through BitGo.
Binance Coin Price Eyes $838 Resistance
BNB price has gained more than 15% over the past month and remains above the $775 area. The weekly chart shows the token trading near $781.73, with a recent move toward the upper boundary of a rising structure.

The chart places the next notable resistance around $838.41. A move above that level would bring the $937.41 area into focus. Higher levels appear near $1,135.40 and $1,297.67. These zones represent the main resistance levels marked on the weekly setup.
On the downside, the chart shows support around $715.76. Additional levels sit near $600, $544.34 and $474.24. These areas could become relevant if BNB crypto loses its current support and moves lower.
The recent price move also comes with increased futures activity. CoinGlass data showed BNB futures open interest rose by more than 0.52% over one hour and by almost 0.35% over four hours. The 24-hour figure increased by more than 1.20%.
BNB ETF Assets Remain Small
The VanEck BNB ETF currently has about $1.20 million in net assets, while its total assets under management stand near $2.70 million, based on the figures cited in the report. The addition of staking changes how the fund can use its BNB holdings, while future asset growth will depend on investor demand and ETF flows.
BNB’s performance since the ETF launch has also moved higher, with the token up more than 42% from its May level based on the figures provided. The latest advance has placed price above $775 and closer to the first resistance zone at $838.
For the weekly setup, the $715.76 area remains the main nearby support shown on the chart. Holding above that level would keep the current structure intact, while a break below it would expose lower support around $600.
