Solana price has rallied recently, pushing its value up by over 20%. The altcoin’s price hit up to $178 before it pulled back. The cryptocurrency market is still volatile and analysts believe Solana could sustain this momentum and even break the $200 mark.
Solana Price Recent Surge and Pullback
Recently, Solana price has had a significant spike, rallying 24.47% from $143 to $178 within a short period. The rise can be attributed to the news around the U.S. Crypto Reserve that included Solana, XRP, and other leading cryptocurrencies in it. The announcement brought optimism to the market and supported the bullish trend.
On the other hand, Solana price hit resistance against key Fibonacci levels and faced a market pullback to $178. However, as market participants began to take profits, the price went down to $161 and traders turned cautious due to market exhaustion.

Such a drop is an important final phase in the price and will retest recent highs and lows, which will determine its next direction. While the $161 price point may work as a level to stabilize, it might not be enough to revive the momentum and take Solana past the $200 mark.
Whales Move Large Amounts of SOL Tokens to Binance
Amid the recent price surge, significant whale activity has been observed. Binance received a substantial transfer of 3 million SOL tokens (valued at $510 million) to their address. Before these tokens were moved to the exchange, they were held in a cold wallet for almost two months. Meanwhile, another whale deposited 48,647 SOL tokens, valued at around 7 million, directly to Binance securing a profit of $1.61 million.

In addition, this is a movement that implies whales use the latest price hike to book profits in the short term. With the volatility SOL price is experiencing, it is expected that these whales will have even more repercussions for price activity. As such large transfers take place, they can even be disruptive causing short term fluctuations on the market, both positively and negatively.
Analysts’ Price Targets and Key Support Levels
However, analysts are positive towards Solana’s future price potential, despite the recent downward trend. According to analyst Ali Martinez, the altcoin’s current price action and technical indicators have set the target at $213. The analyst attributes this to the further gains, which resulted from the ongoing breakout of a developing descending parallel channel.

Moreover, $213 is a very important resistance level and could result in higher values if the price manages to break it.
Meanwhile, Martinez has also emphasized on important support levels of Solana price. The psychological $150 mark has been a strong support point for the market in the past. If Solana’s price falls beneath this level, it may indicate a longer period of downtrend. Nevertheless, the $150 level is also considered a potential buying opportunity.
