Key Insights:
- Ethereum whales continue buying despite price stagnation at $2,000.
- ETH ETFs record continuous outflows, signaling weak institutional demand.
- Rising futures open interest hints at growing bullish sentiment for Ethereum
Ethereum price struggles to gain momentum despite strong whale accumulation. The cryptocurrency trades near the $2,000 mark, showing weakness in the short-term trend. Institutional investors continue to withdraw funds from Ethereum spot ETFs, raising concerns about demand.
However, the futures market suggests rising optimism among traders. Analysts predict a potential price rally toward $3,000 if Ethereum maintains key support levels.
Whales Accumulate Ethereum at $2,000
Large investors continue buying Ethereum despite recent price stagnation. According to LookOnChain, a new whale wallet, 0x114E, acquired 7,100 ETH worth $14.27 million. Another whale, 0xC377, purchased 4,790 ETH, valued at $9.5 million, from Binance. These acquisitions suggest growing confidence among deep-pocketed investors.

Additional transactions support this trend. Whale wallet 0xC479 withdrew 2,697 ETH from OKX, totaling $5.45 million. Another investor, 0xCb44, bought 1,427 ETH worth $2.86 million for staking. The continuous accumulation indicates that whales consider Ethereum undervalued at current levels. If buying pressure remains strong, the Ethereum price may establish $2,000 as a solid support level.
Ethereum ETFs Continue to Lose Capital
On March 26, Ethereum spot ETFs recorded a net outflow of $5.89 billion. This follows a consistent pattern of withdrawals since March 5, with only one neutral day on March 24. The last recorded inflow was on March 4, highlighting weak institutional confidence.

The ongoing capital outflows raise concerns about Ethereum’s price recovery. Institutional demand plays a crucial role in long-term market stability. If outflows persist, Ethereum could struggle to gain upward momentum.
Analysts Predict a Possible Ethereum Price Surge to $3,000
Market analysts suggest the Ethereum price could recover soon. XForce Global, a certified Elliott Wave analyst, believes Ethereum follows an A-B-C corrective pattern. Based on Fibonacci projections, Ethereum could climb to $3,116 in a relief rally. This projection aligns with historical market behavior after similar corrections.

There exists another more bullish outlook that points to a more prolonged rally. When the ETH price rises above the resistance level, it has targets of between $5,464 and $9,279. Crypto Jack, another market analyst, points to a bullish divergence on the weekly chart. This formation may imply that there is accumulation taking place, hence exerting pressure for a breakout. Therefore, if Ethereum price does not break this level, it will show the start of a strong upward movement.
Futures Market Shows Rising Bullish Sentiment
According to the data from CoinGlass, the open interest in Ethereum has increased by 1.38%, reaching $21.88 billion. Higher open interest means that more buyers are willing to enter the market and hold the contracts.
The funding rate remains positive as 0.0051% which means that the market holds high activity in terms of keeping long positions. Besides, the number of long positions in Ethereum over short positions in Ethereum price rose from 0.9391 to 1.0251. A higher ratio means more traders are holding on large positions that expect the price of Ethereum to rise.
