Dogecoin Price Soars 40% As 21Shares Applied for DOGE ETF

Key Highlights:

  • Nasdaq’s application to list the 21 Shares Dogecoin ETF could open the door to institutional investment in DOGE.
  • Dogecoin faces resistance at $0.18, but breaking this level could lead to a rally towards $0.22.
  • Liquidation pressures in Bitcoin may trigger volatility in Dogecoin, with high-leverage positions amplifying potential price swings.

Nasdaq’s filing to list the 21Shares Dogecoin ETF has sparked optimism in the market. This development could drive a 40% increase in DOGE price. This move could allow more investors access to memecoin in a regulated environment.

With more institutional involvement on the horizon, DOGE price may experience a sharp surge, especially if the ETF approval is granted. This development has caught the attention of both Dogecoin traders and analysts alike.

Nasdaq’s Application to List the 21Shares Dogecoin ETF

On April 29, 2025, Nasdaq filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list the 21Shares Dogecoin ETF. This filing followed a similar request by 21 Shares in early April to launch the ETF.

The ETF would expose investors to the Dogecoin price without requiring direct cryptocurrency ownership. This move marks a significant step towards bringing Dogecoin into more traditional investment markets.

The SEC is reviewing the filing process and assessing multiple cryptocurrency ETF proposals. This includes potential listings for Solana (SOL), XRP, and other digital assets.

Approving the 21Shares Dogecoin ETF could pave the way for greater institutional adoption of the popular memecoin. This has caused some fluctuations in the DOGE price. However, according to the latest reports, it has stabilized at around $0.17.

The 21Shares ETF aims to provide regulated exposure to Dogecoin. As the SEC reviews more than 70 crypto ETF applications, the outcome of this review could have long-lasting effects on the market.

Approval of the ETF could bring in new investors to the market. Many may be drawn to it as a simpler alternative to buying and storing Dogecoin directly.

Dogecoin Price Predictions and Market Outlook

Currently, DOGE is facing resistance around the $0.18 level. While there is some short-term price consolidation, analysts are optimistic about a potential breakout.

If Dogecoin successfully breaks above $0.18 and maintains its momentum, it could trigger a strong rally. This movement may push the price toward $0.20, then extend to $0.22 and potentially higher.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) for Dogecoin currently sits at 54, signaling neutral market conditions. This suggests there is room for upward movement without triggering an overbought condition.

Should the ETF get approval and attract significant investments, the price of DOGE may rise steadily. Resistance points such as $0.18 and $0.22 could become key targets for traders.

For traders, the following crucial levels to watch are $0.20 and $0.22. If Dogecoin breaks through these levels, it may open the door to further gains, potentially pushing the price toward $0.30.

Market volatility continues to be a key factor influencing the DOGE price movement. Its potential surge largely depends on broader market trends, especially Bitcoin’s performance.

Liquidation Pressures and Leverage Risks

This has also threatened to add pressure on the liquidations, especially with the high leverage positions in the Dogecoin price. Bitcoin’s price fluctuations, observed on both daily and hourly scales, highlight the market’s vulnerability to liquidations.

Like many altcoins, Dogecoin tends to follow Bitcoin’s price patterns, making it susceptible to similar market fluctuations. As liquidations affect Bitcoin’s stability, Dogecoin could experience comparable volatility in response.

High risks are involved when using high leverage, such as 50x or 100x. This means price fluctuations may occur in regions such as $0.15 or $0.18, and liquidations in multitudes.

These movements may arise when positions are closed due to margin calls, leading to more buying or selling signals. Since DOGE is positively correlated with Bitcoin, a massive liquidation event in BTC could result in similar movements in DOGE.

While observing the market, it is necessary to pay attention to the liquidation levels of Bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies.

Will DOGE Soar?

The large swings in the BTC price, which could result from either liquidations or otherwise, could eventually affect the Dogecoin price. If the Bitcoin price swings significantly, DOGE traders can have the same experience since the two are related currencies.
